Biography: Dr. Bijnaneswar Mondal completed his graduation from Visva-Bharati University, West Bengal, India in 2012. Later, he obtained his post-graduation degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India in 2014. Subsequently, he joined Prof. Partha Sarathi Mukherjee’s group at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore for doctoral research and received his Ph.D. in 2019. His research work mainly focused on porous covalent organic cages and their various applications towards alternative templates for metal nanoparticle synthesis and their use in heterogeneous catalysis. He was awarded NET-JRF by CSIR-India and Prof. S. Soundarajan Gold Medal for best thesis award from IISc Bangalore. He works as an assistant professor at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur, India. Currently, Dr. Bijnaneswar Mondal's research interest is focused on functionalized organic cage compounds with promising applications in host-guest chemistry and efficient catalysis.
