Sportsmanship, courtesy, safety and conservation are expected from every participant.
Each angler must posses a valid Minnesota fishing license.
Any participant running a big motor must be 16 years of age or older. If between the ages of 16-21, a valid watercraft permit must be present and shown at check-in.
PFDs must be worn at all times while the big motor is running. Violators of this rule will be disqualified.
An aerated livewell must be present on your boat to hold fish during competition.
Use of live bait is not allowed.
A 100 yard buffer area in front of the weigh-in station will be off limits for fishing to leave space for weigh-in boaters, and so anglers do not catch previously weighed-in fish.
Anglers coming in to weigh in a fish must be off pad and idle into the weigh-in location.
Blast-Off order will be drawn the morning of the tournament.
If a legal tournament fish is not weighed in during an hourly session, the next hours pot will be doubled.
Only live bass will be weighed-in. Any dead bass must be kept and not thrown back into the lake.
All contestants shall be required to bring their boat and respective partner with them to the weigh-in site when weighing in bass. Attending a weigh-in hour must be agreed upon by both anglers.
Please keep bass in your livewell until tournament staff is available to assist you and verify your bass limit.
Bass brought to the weigh-in station must be in a weigh-in bag (provided) with water.
A contestant may weigh in numerous bass throughout the period to try and upgrade their weight if they please.
Bass must be weighed in by the contestant who originally caught the bass. No sharing bass within the boat!
Minimum length of bass to be weighed in is 16 inches.
No contestant may have more than one live bass in possession at any time during official tournament hours. Culling is allowed, but must be done right away with releasing the other fish back into the lake. Additional fish cannot be kept to weigh in at a different weigh-in session. Live wells will be checked at each weigh-in session by a tournament official.
If you weigh in a 3+ pound fish, you will receive a ticket to be entered into a drawing for a prize. Numerous 3+ pound fish may be weighed in by each angler.
This is a mandatory catch and release program, all bass must be released back into tournament waters.
Everyone involved in the tournament is responsible for themselves. Tournament directors, volunteers, and the landowner of the weigh-in location will not be responsible or liable for any injuries or damages that occur within tournament hours.
