NOTICE OF RACE
1 RULES
1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
1.2 The Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) Procedural Rules for Intercollegiate
Sailing Competition and the Collegiate Dinghy Class Rules will apply.
1.3 The following US Sailing prescriptions will not apply: 60, 63.2, and 63.4.
2 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
2.1 Teams will be invited to compete as follows: Teams who are in the NCAA Big 12 Conference, and teams in the States bordering Kansas, and any interested SEISA Team as equipment is available. Contact the Regatta Coordinator for information on boat availability.
2.2 Eligible teams may enter by registering at least 2 weeks prior to the event online.
The regatta website will have entry forms, waivers, and logistical details.
3 FEES
The required fee for the regatta is $100 per team of 4 and $25 for each additional participant. Meals will be provided per website. Camping is provided on Yacht Club grounds free of charge.

0915 Mandatory Competitor meeting. Races to follow.
1300 No A Division race will start after this time. Prize giving to follow as soon
as possible after final race.
5 FORMAT
A round robin will be sailed. Each division of each school shall sail the same boat for
three races in a row, and then the other division will race the next boat in the rotation.
Racing will continue until the round robin is complete or the time limit is reached,
whichever occurs first.
6 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
6.1 The sailing instructions will be available no later than 0730 on Saturday, September 16.
7 VENUE
The venue will be Perry Yacht Club. Races will be run on the waters in front of the club unless the race committee directs otherwise.
8 COACHING AND SUPPORT BOATS
Limited equipment is available; however, support boats are welcome. Spectators and coaches may view the races from the club or from spectator boats (as available).
9 COMPETITOR REQUIREMENTS
Each team shall bring enough clothing and equipment for four people to be properly
attired for the conditions for sailing at one time, including four US Coast Guard
approved (Type 3) Personal Floatation Devices (PFDs). The PFDs must be available for
inspection at registration.
Teams must also have consistent identification (pinnies or jerseys) that go over life jackets for easy identification of teams. (football, basketball, and custom or "dorm-made" jerseys are acceptable as long as they match).
10 PRIZES
10.1 The Big 12 Trophy will be awarded to the winning team. This perpetual
trophy is maintained Perry Yacht Club. A bar engraved with the year and the
name of the winning college is added to the permanent plaque maintained by
Perry Yacht Club.
10.2 Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place schools overall.
10.3 Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place schools in each division.
