Chaos. It’s a word that strikes fear into the hearts of many. It conjures up images of disorder, confusion, and mayhem. On the other hand the order order conjures up images of peace, harmony and already a set patterns.
But what if I told you that chaos could be a good thing? What if I told you that it could be a source of creativity, innovation, and growth?
Carl Jung once had said that "In all chaos there is a cosmos, in all disorder a secret order." Which is so true.
Chaos can be a powerful force when we embrace it and open ourselves up to new possibilities. We allow ourselves to think outside the box and to come up with new and innovative solutions to problems. We also become more adaptable and resilient, better able to cope with change and uncertainty.
Even the Bhagavad Gita (Hindu holy scripture) speaks to chaos is verse 2.64. In this verse, Krishna says:
"Those who are not disturbed by the disturbances of the world, who are not attached to pleasures, who are free from attachment, fear, and anger, and who are steady in their determination, are called the yogis."
This verse suggests that chaos is a natural part of life. It is something that we cannot avoid. However, we can choose how we react to it.
In fact i have found over the years I thrive most in Chaos, maybe that's what makes my spirit resilient to all the situations i have been forced to endeavour.
Here are some methods to turn chaos and order
1) Embrace change not fear it - Change is evolution, it is constant so don't fear it embrace it and you will free yourself.
2) Be creative. Chaos can be a great source of creativity. When things are up in the air, it’s a good time to think outside the box and come up with new ideas.
3) Stay positive and calm - When change or chaos happens stay calm and believe that something better is yet to come.
So next time you find yourself in a chaotic situation, don’t panic. Embrace the chaos and see what you can create.
Have you ever wondered about the meaning of life? What is the point of it all? Why are we here?
Your know a few days ago i was watching a movie with a son about pokemon, particularly Mew- 2. In that movie suprisinging Mew2 asks this questions to himself - "Who I am, What is my purpose? What is the point of all this? What I am supposed to do? What is the meaning of it all?"
For a minute I thought he is more self aware than me, in fact more self aware that most people.
Countless people have spent ages pondering over the same thought and have explores different ways to answer these questions. Some people find meaning its answers religion, some through faith, while others find it in art, music, or love. I promise that no one answer or path to answering these questions is correct or wrong.
Alternatively the more the understand the questions, you will realize that it is not about finding these answers, but about living each day to the fullest. There is a famous saying, "The meaning of life is to live it. To love it. To experience it. To be present in it."
In conclusion, stop asking these questions, stop waiting on pins and needles for things to happen. MAKE LIFE HAPPEN! So take reigns for your own journey, enjoy each step not just a race to a destination
As a Product enthusiast, I have always felt a gravitational pull to explore and learn something new everyday. The most crucial step towards this path is to be able to come out of your safety zone and take risks.
I know this from personal experience. When I first started out in my career, I was afraid to take risks. I was afraid of failing, and I was afraid of making mistakes. But I quickly realized that if I wanted to be successful, I needed to learn to come out of my comfort zone.
Here are some tips for coming out of your safety zone I found helpful throughout my journey -
Be open to new ideas. Don't be afraid to consider new ideas, even if they seem outside of your comfort zone. The best products are often the ones that are innovative and different from the competition.
Be willing to fail. Failure is a part of the product development process. Don't be afraid to fail, as long as you learn from your mistakes.
Be persistent. Don't give up easily. If you believe in your product, keep working on it until it is successful.
Be a team player. Product development is a team effort. Be willing to collaborate with others and share ideas.
Here is a personal example -
In a previous product, as a project manager, I was held accountable for the delivery of a previous product. We were having many issues, and I knew that it was due to inter-team dependencies. I had an idea to resolve this, but I was afraid to speak up and step out of my comfort zone because all of the other team leads were more senior and qualified than me.
However, I couldn't hold back any longer. At a team retrospective, I spoke my mind, being careful to address the problem and not the people. Surprisingly, the team was very appreciative of my idea and immediately decided to try it out.
This resulted in us meeting our deliverables before the end of the sprint and delivering the project within budget and on time.
In conclusion coming out of your safety zone can be challenging, but it is essential for success as a Product professional. By following these tips, you can increase your chances of success in the product development process.
Over the last few months, I spent quite a share of my time to extensively testing chatbots like Bard, ChatGPT, GPT4, BingAI. I heard TED talks on them, read articles on how they will soon replace many jobs. Infact, thats what made me write my last article is AI a misnomer.
I was initially blown away with their capability. They were able to do many of the tasks I asked of them quickly and efficiently. However, I soon began to notice some limitations.
I soon realized that one of their biggest limitations was their lack of creativity. When it came to tasks that required original thinking, they often struggled. They would often give me the same generic answer, regardless of the specific context.
They would often make the same mistakes over and over again. This was frustrating, as I would have to constantly remind them of the correct way to do things.
Overall, I was left wanting more from these chatbots.
I would still stick to my earlier thoughts, although AI chatbot are certainly helpful in some ways, but they were not a replacement for human intelligence and not a replacement for Product folks in any company. I believe that AI has the potential to be a powerful tool for product managers, when used to augment their capabilities.
They can be used to automate tasks, gather information, and generate ideas. However, it is important to remember that chatbots are not a replacement for human intelligence. They should be used as a tool to supplement human work, not to replace it.
