BIDcount ("we", "our", "us") operates the BIDcount mobile application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account.
Profile Information: You may optionally provide your phone number, profile photo, banner image, country, and governorate.
Product Listings: If you are a vendor, you may upload product photos, videos, descriptions, prices, and category information.
Device Information: We collect device tokens for push notifications (expo-push-token) and advertising IDs for AdMob.
Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the app, including products viewed, suppliers saved, and negotiations initiated.
Communications: Messages and offers sent through the negotiation feature.
2. How We Use Your Information
To provide and maintain the B2B agricultural marketplace
To facilitate negotiations between buyers and vendors
To send push notifications about offers, product expiry, and account updates
To serve relevant advertisements via Google AdMob
To improve and personalize the app experience
To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely on Firebase Firestore (Google Cloud Platform) and PostgreSQL databases. We implement reasonable security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and access controls. Passwords are hashed using a non-reversible algorithm before storage.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
Google Firebase — Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Storage, Cloud Messaging (push notifications)
Google AdMob — In-app advertising
Google Sign-In — Authentication
Expo — Development platform and notification services
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Your profile information and product listings are visible to other users of the platform as necessary to facilitate marketplace transactions. Buyers can see vendor names, photos, product listings, and contact information.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Product listings are automatically deleted after their expiration period (6–24 hours). Expired products are permanently removed after a 24-hour grace period.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Update or correct your profile information at any time through the app settings
Delete your account (see Section 8 below)
Opt out of push notifications through your device settings
8. Account Deletion
You can request account deletion at any time.
What is deleted:
Your user profile (name, phone, email, photo, banner)
All your product listings
Your saved suppliers / followers connections
Your negotiation messages and history
Your push notification tokens
What is retained (for legal/analytics purposes):
Anonymized audit logs (no personal identifiers)
Financial transaction records (if applicable) — retained as required by Tunisian tax law
How to request deletion:
Option 1 — Email request: Send an email to bidcount470@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Include your full name and vendor/buyer ID (if known).
Option 2 — Admin contact: Email bidcount470@gmail.com with proof of identity if you cannot access your account.
Processing time: Requests are processed within 7 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once complete.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and/or via the app.
