Traveling to Barcelona

For those coming from afar, I recommend arriving in Barcelona the day before the symposium.

By Plane

Barcelona airport Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat is located 15 km southwest of the city center. Taxis are available at the terminal. A cheaper but also very comfortable way to arrive to the city center is to take the “Aerobús” shuttle at the terminal. The journey to the city center takes approximately 30 minutes. You can buy the tickets online or just outside the bus. The stops “Universitat” or “Plaça Catalunya” are the closest to the symposium venue. By Train

For those coming via Madrid or other Spanish or European cities, the main Barcelona train station is Barcelona-Sants (https://maps.app.goo.gl/kRJFt7DC7Ckty1SU9). From there, you can reach the city center by taking the metro line L3 (green line). The closest L3 metro stations to the symposium venue are ‘Catalunya’ or ‘Liceu’. Weather in Barcelona is still quite smooth in November, with temperatures from 12° to 18° Celsius degrees, on average.
