The fishery comprises firstly a wide pool of about 1 metre deep which can be waded in parts or fished from the bank. This goes on to feed a mile or so of carrier stream, which was constructed about 50 years ago, before it re-joins the main river Avon. There are 4 beats, all of which offer varied fishing on upstream dry fly and nymph only. The fishery is stocked regularly with brown and rainbow trout from 2½lb to 7lb, and on occasion some larger ones.
The season runs from 1 April to 15 October, with close-down maintenance days on the last 2/3 days of the month. Members have a set day for their fishing and can fish on that day every week during the season.
There is a lodge with toilet and a secure gated entrance. There is outdoor seating/picnic/barbecue area. The fishery is impeccably maintained and there is ample car parking.
Members are entitled to take 3 fish per day, and catch 2 more on a catch and release basis.
The cost of a full rod is £1300 a year. We currently have some opportunities for new members to join. For further information please email david@daviddarts.co.uk.
