Saturday, September 13th – St. Brigid's Church, Stillorgan – 10:30-14:00
Our second event of this year's Ecumenical Bible Week is the Saturday Seminar which takes place on September 13th in St. Brigid's Church, Stillogran. Parking is available at St Brigid's School, just off Merville Road (A94 X066, or click here to view on Google Maps).
This event invites three speakers to present on the biblical background to the Council of Nicaea, touching on the theological questions which were central to the discussions of the council and their roots in Scripture. It will also explore how the council used Scripture in counteracting the Arian controversy, which called the divine nature of Jesus into question. You can find more information on each of the invited speakers towards the bottom of this page.
The event is free of charge but we kindly ask that you let us know if you plan to attend so we can ensure everyone can be seated comfortably in the venue. You can register using the button below.
