Hello, and welcome to Bible Study with Fr. Chris! I’m Fr. Chris Looby, a Catholic priest in the Diocese of Ogdensburg, and I’m so glad you’re joining me as we begin a journey through the Bible—from Genesis to Revelation—one chapter at a time.

Whether you’re brand new to the Scriptures or you’ve been reading them your whole life, this podcast is for you. Together, we’ll explore not just the words on the page, but the story behind the story: the history, the context, the theology, and the living message God has for us today.

Each day, I’ll walk you through one chapter of the Bible. We’ll read or summarize the text—depending on the length—and I’ll offer reflections on the context in which it was written, how it fits into the broader story of salvation, and what it means for us as followers of Christ.

The Bible isn’t just a book—it’s a library, inspired by God, written by human authors over centuries. It’s full of poetry, law, history, prophecy, letters, and even apocalyptic visions. But above all, it’s a love story. God’s love story with us!
