This Privacy Policy describes how Bible Memorise collects, uses, and protects your information when you use this mobile application.
This app is developed and maintained by an individual developer. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
The App collects certain information in order to provide core functionality.
When you create an account, the App collects:
Email address
Name (automatically generated from the email address if not provided)
Display name (user-defined, optional)
Unique user identifier (UID)
If a display name is not provided, the App may automatically generate a default name based on the email address (for example, using the portion before “@”). Users can change this display name at any time within the App.
The App collects and stores app-related information associated with your account, including:
Memorization and study progress (such as completed verses, quizzes, and books)
Total completed items (e.g., completedTotal)
Streak count and learning statistics
Activity data (such as account creation date and last active date)
Profile customization (such as selected emoji)
Achievement data (including weekly, monthly, and yearly wins)
This information is used only to provide core app functionality and to allow users to track their progress across devices.
The App includes features such as leaderboards and winners lists that display user rankings and achievements.
The following information may be visible to other users within the App:
Display name
Emoji/avatar (if selected)
Score and rank
Achievement data (such as weekly, monthly, and yearly wins)
This information is associated with your account and is used to provide competitive and motivational features within the App.
Users can modify their display name and profile information at any time within the App.
If you contact support through the App, we collect and store:
Your User ID (UID)
Your name (if available)
Your email address
The message content you submit
Message timestamps
Support messages are stored securely in Google Firebase and are accessible only to the developer for the purpose of responding to your inquiry. Support messages are not visible to other users and are not used for advertising or marketing purposes.
The App does not automatically collect any technical, diagnostic, analytics, or tracking information.
The App does not use analytics, crash reporting, tracking, or advertising technologies.
The collected information is used only to:
Create and manage user accounts
Authenticate users securely
Save and sync memorization and study progress across devices
Provide core app functionality
Display leaderboard rankings and achievements
Respond to support inquiries
Improve app features and reliability
The App does not use your information for advertising, marketing, or profiling.
User data is stored securely using Google Firebase, including:
Firebase Authentication
Firebase Firestore
All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Reasonable technical and organizational measures are taken to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Data may be stored on servers located in different countries through Google Cloud infrastructure.
The App does not sell, rent, or trade personal data.
Information is shared only with:
Google Firebase (Google LLC) — solely to provide authentication, data storage, and core app functionality
No data is shared with advertisers or marketing partners.
The App uses Firebase Authentication to allow users to:
Create an account
Sign in securely using email and password
Access saved progress across devices
Personal data is retained only for as long as:
The account remains active, or
As necessary to provide the App’s services
Support messages are retained only as long as necessary to respond to and manage support requests.
You may delete your data at any time as described below.
You may delete your account and associated data at any time by using the “Delete Account” button available in your profile within the App.
When you delete your account:
Your authentication account will be permanently removed from Firebase Authentication
Your user data stored in Firestore (including email, name, display name, UID, emoji, memorization progress, streaks, activity data, achievements, leaderboard entries, and winners records) will be permanently deleted
Leaderboard and winners data associated with your account will also be permanently removed.
This process is irreversible.
Users may also delete individual study progress (for example, progress for a specific book or quiz) without deleting their account.
When study progress is removed:
The associated progress data is permanently deleted from Firestore
Your account and other data remain active
The App is not directed toward children under the age of 13.
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a child has provided personal data, please contact the developer and it will be removed promptly.
The App uses the following third-party service:
Google Firebase (Google LLC)

This service is used only to provide core functionality and secure data storage.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time.
Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised policy.
