Bible Multilingue is a multilingual Bible reading and audio application available on iPhone and iPad. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected, how it is used, and the choices available to users.
1. Information We Collect
Bible Multilingue collects only limited information necessary to provide certain app features.
Email Address
An email address is collected only if a user chooses to create or protect an account using email and password for the Suggestions feature.
User Identifier
Firebase Authentication may assign a unique user identifier to associate Suggestions with the correct user account, including anonymous accounts.
Suggestions and Messages
Text submitted through the Suggestions feature may be stored so the app operator can receive, review, and respond to user feedback.
2. Information Stored on the Device
The app may store certain information locally on the device, including:
• Bible reading preferences
• Favorites
• Reading history
• App settings
• Downloaded Bible audio files
This information is used to provide app functionality and offline access.
3. How We Use Information
Information collected by Bible Multilingue is used only for app functionality, including:
• Managing optional user accounts
• Protecting and retrieving Suggestions
• Receiving and responding to Suggestions
• Providing personalized app settings
• Supporting offline Bible audio playback
Bible Multilingue does not sell personal information.
Bible Multilingue does not use personal information for advertising.
Bible Multilingue does not track users across apps or websites.
4. Third-Party Services
Bible Multilingue uses Firebase services provided by Google, including:
• Firebase Authentication
• Cloud Firestore
These services are used to support optional user accounts and the Suggestions feature.
Firebase may process limited technical information necessary to provide these services according to Google's privacy practices.
5. Account Deletion
Users can permanently delete their account directly inside the app.
To delete an account:
Settings > Account > Permanently Delete My Account
When an account is deleted, Bible Multilingue removes:
• The Firebase Authentication account
• Suggestions associated with the account
• Messages associated with those Suggestions
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
6. Offline Downloads
Bible audio files downloaded for offline listening are stored locally on the user's device.
Users can manage downloaded audio from:
Settings > Audio > Audio Downloads
Downloaded files may also be removed by deleting the app from the device.
7. Advertising and Tracking
Bible Multilingue does not contain advertising.
Bible Multilingue does not use user information for targeted advertising.
Bible Multilingue does not track users across third-party apps, websites, or services.
8. Public-Domain Content
Bible texts and Bible audio recordings distributed through Bible Multilingue are from public-domain sources.
The application logo and original graphic assets are owned by the developer.
9. Children's Privacy
Bible Multilingue is a general-audience Bible reading application.
The app does not intentionally request sensitive personal information from children.
10. Data Security
Reasonable technical measures are used to protect information handled through Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore.
However, no Internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the app's features or data practices change.
The effective date at the top of this policy will be updated when material changes are made.
