A guided walk-through the Bible for current and emerging ministry leaders in CFC churches
The CFC Bible Formation Course (BFC) is open to all members of Christian Family Centre (CFC) churches to attend (subject to endorsement from the attendee’s lead pastor) and is particularly tailored to equip current and emerging ministry leaders to discuss the Bible in their local ministry settings (e.g. life group leading, youth and children’s ministry, worship leading, etc.). The course is also intended to cultivate a personal passion for the Bible and to increase participants’ confidence in navigating the Bible and applying the Bible to day-to-day life.
The course consists of fourteen sessions (split into two 7-week terms - Old Testament and New Testament), held from 7pm to 9.30pm on Thursday nights over the following dates (2022):
Term 1 / Old Testament: Feb 16th, Feb 23rd, Mar 2nd, Mar 9th, Mar 16th, Mar 23rd, Mar 30th.
Term 2 / New Testament: May 4th, May 11th, May 18th, May 25th, June 1st, Jun 8th, Jun 15th.
All sessions will be hosted in “the classroom”, upstairs at Seaton CFC (185 Fredrick Road, Seaton). Participants may also join online via Zoom.
The course has been designed to promote a daily habit of engaging with Biblical content over the 7-week terms, with participants requested to watch a daily Bible Project video (approx. 5 minutes per day or 30 minutes per week) ahead of the Thursday sessions. It is intended that the mid-week videos will provide significant background teaching and that the Thursday sessions will have a workshop format to enable deeper exploration of the content.
