A person is always confident in what he does.
This is his curse.
A child running out onto the roadway to get a ball; a teenager who starts smoking cigarettes; yesterday's hard worker going to the casino to increase his credit money; a driver who gets behind the wheel completely drunk; an official disbursing the budget entrusted to him; a president starting an armed conflict... However, if you can still manage to catch a child by the hand, or try to find the right words for a teenager, in the rest of the cases things promise to be much more complicated. Long after, looking back and having the opportunity to evaluate the entire complex of actually established cause-and-effect relationships, it is easier for us to admit that there really were mistakes. But how many of us are able to efficiently think ahead?
A child running out onto the roadway to get a ball is risking to suffer and get harmed due to a lack of knowledge. The child's brain does not process enough information, and each successfully lifted object only strengthens the confidence that the actions are safe. This is called the problem of induction. And how, in this case, does a child differ from an adult? In some way, it’s about the same as how cutting up budget funds differs from a desire of children to get all the candies themselves. If you look closely, our mindset doesn’t change much as we get older. The «sandbox» may be different, but the «children» continue playing there in the same model.
If someone believes that all they have to do is be patient a little more for the life to finally sparkle with bright colors... it won’t. It's not happening because this is not how it works. Things are only getting worse. The environmental disaster is soon becoming irreversible. How many gallons of oil have been spilled into the sea? How many nuclear explosions have occurred at training grounds around the world? How much plastic has been produced in the last fifty years? How much understanding is there in our minds about what we are actually doing? These questions should have been already asked yesterday. Today it is vitally essential to ask, what responsibility we are taking for tomorrow? How acceptable is human genetic modification? Can an Artificial Intelligence that passes the Turing test and claims to have consciousness be considered conscious? Should it be given the corresponding rights and responsibilities with all the ensuing consequences? Is it possible to allow intelligent AI to develop unhindered, or should we just turn it off for good measure? The world society is categorically not ready to resolve issues of this nature, and meanwhile they are literally standing on the threshold:
Two genetically modified children already live among us, and there is a chance that by the time they reach adulthood, we will have time to become acquainted with AI that is potentially capable of developing self-awareness. We cannot ignore the possibility that unresolved issues of racial and gender inequality will have time to grow even more. Without a grain of exaggeration, by continuing being passive in the fateful issues like these, by the middle of the current 21st century we have all risks to drown in the abyss of potentially unsolvable problems. And these all are just the tip of the «iceberg» that our Titanic is heading towards. When a person does not think about the well-being of the society he lives among, how can such a society be prosperous? If humanity is not ready to pay attention to inevitable catastrophes, then how many hypothetical ones will it collect along its path? As the generations change, history has a tendency to repeat itself. As the wheel in the Russian roulette revolver spins, naive hopes for a bright future never die. And never-dying hopes can be dashed an infinite number of times...
Nowadays lots of us misunderstand the concept of collective responsibility. Collective responsibility does not mean judgment. Collective responsibility means taking the full severity of the actions your team or leaders are involved in. The most obvious example is that a person can live in a forest and sing to the birds around him, but when the earth starts to suffocate from the environmental disaster, he will have to accept the consequences and start suffocating with the planet. This rule applies to any kind of group we are part of, whether large or small. If the day comes when Uranus, the husband of Geah, the son of Chaos, shall come down from heaven, To burn the face of the earth with atomic fire, the traces of human self-satisfaction and to clean the flesh of his wife from the «parasites» that have entered it - this will be even less of a possible evil. If two thousand years ago it was still possible to justify humanity with the phrase «they do not know what they do», then now...
...now these words can only exemplify an epitaph to us.
Humanity resembles a fool with a shovel and a map of pirate social «treasures». Here is the garden where the map points, here is a flower bed with a red dot on the map. You have to dig. One meter. One and a half. Two. It's buried deep. Too deep to dig out with a shovel. You rent a bulldozer, an excavator, dig up the whole garden... Nothing. The map lied. There’s no treasure here. And there never was. The treasure is a fantasy of the seeker. Truth always lies on the surface. Human does not see it as his life often spends in the pit. With a shovel in his hands, all covered in ground and mud, day and night digging like crazy searching happiness. Cursed by their personal madness. Why never pay attention to the advice from above «look around»? As it is only from above the beauty of the world can be seen. While staying in the pit and digging we can have only clay and worms around. To come to love the world we live in, we should view it with a look that is pure from the permanent fatigue. This is the way children usually view the world. The child will never say that the world around is disgusting... but the tired parents - perhaps. The wish to burn their mentally debilitating school system is quite understandable. However, the world is not to be hated, disrespected or unaccepted. To hate everything around them, they have to grow up, take a shovel... and just start digging.
Digging.
Digging.
Digging.
Got tired? Dig harder! More intensively!
The happiness is right under your feet!
A bit deeper!
More!
Until this hole becomes your grave...
The soul is not something buried somewhere deep inside you. Vice-versa, the soul is the prism to view the world. The soul is literally how you understand the world. Both, everything outside is the same, everything inside, simultaneously. Treasure that has never been buried in the earth. The treasure is a flowerbed, which was destroyed in the very beginning. All the rest was destroyed thereupon. In a world trapped in concrete, flowers are a true treasure. Beauty. Life. Drops of dew on the grass. Rainbow after rain. Sunset. Bonfire. Socializing with friends. Stars. The universe... The price of all this is a shovel and a map with a red dot somewhere in the center. To sell your soul to the devil is not difficult at all, but what will you view after this deal? That is about how we see it now. The beauty of this world will be found first by those who seek the beauty of this world. And what are you searching for?
The next time I was in America, I went with some American friends to New Mexico, a city founded by the Indians of Puebla. However, "city" is too strong a word, in fact it is just a village, but at home in it, boring, densely populated, built one above the other, allow to speak of "city", especially as its name sounds in their language. So I was able to talk for the first time with a non-European, that is not with a white. It was a chief of the Tao tribe, a man of forty or fifty years old, intelligent and perceptive, named Ohvia Biano (Mountain Lake). I spoke to him as I rarely did to a European. Of course, he also lived in his own world, as a European - in his own, but what a world it was! In your conversation with the European, you are like a sand through the fingers, passing through common places known to all but not understood by anyone; here as though I was floating on a deep sea unknown to me. And it is hard to tell what gives more pleasure - to discover new shores for yourself or to find new ways in the knowledge of things long known, ancient ways and almost forgotten.
"Look, — said Ochia Biano, — how cruel the white people seem. They have thin lips, sharp noses, their faces in deep wrinkles, and the eyes are always looking for something. What are they looking for? White people always want something, they’re always anxious and impatient. We don’t know what they want. We don’t understand them. We think they’re crazy".
— Carl Gustav Jung
The mess in our heads is directly proportional to the mess in our lives. Globally, it leads to a mess in the life of the whole country... and further - the entire planet. Just look at the world and you can see that the chaos around is a reason for the mess in the heads of all our ideal leaders... and yes, obviously, in our heads too. Imagine that your mind has a horizon. Everything that happens behind it is an «empty» area for you. Imagine, that your whole life is a role. The role, to which you have been perfectly prepared. You have really got into this character. You have immersed yourself in all of the perspectives and problematics. You have experienced every moment of the character's life as your own. You have played everything admirably. Just as you were expected to do.
Have you imagined?
And right now you’re being told - Stop! Cut! Now you can step out of the role. Now you can become your own self. It is over and you no longer need to be the character you have been all playing your life. The job is done. You can go. You are free. Feel that freedom - what would you do with it next? How would you think, feel and behave? What would you see if you looked at yourself from the outside? Would you like your own acting? Spin it all in your head. Live this moment. Lose the usual and long-overdue decorations. They are all artificial... just as the people inhabit Artificial. Just actors that play the roles imposed on them. Come out beyond the horizon of thought. Expand your consciousness. Look at our world with a sober, unflappable eye. Assess the overall picture:

Let us start with the obvious Describing the foundation of our social organization:
>> Twenty-five is the approximate age of personal maturity. The closer a person gets to these years - the more his mentality gets fixated and latched, the area of interests gets confined, which begins the active stage of self-realization in a professional or creative environment. Usually, the preference is for a field - «financial independence» and «social stability», which often appears as a more attractive choice than «development of creativity». Unfortunately. This is the approximate point where the routine world of daily monotony takes off. Personal development is now replaced by career growth. Though, the highly specialized work activity can only provide the illusion of progress: daily solving the same tasks can not bring any new experience, but generously adds mediocrity and dullness in each new day. This is the beginning of a slow stagnation of one's personality. The vast majority spend their time in service to the system, without paying attention to anything else. Work is gradually becoming more important than life.
> Tomorrow is not making nearly any difference from today, as today was almost no different than yesterday: stand an hour in public transport, nine hours sit in the office chair to spend another hour in public transport. Repeat the next day. And the next. And the next. And the next... And here we should remember that a human's productivity is only four hours a day. Anything above that threshold is converted into daily stress, nothing more. The birth of a child, of course, will add some diversity to the daily life routine, along with more stress, against which all the education and formation of the future member of society will take place.
>> The first experience, especially at a young age, is the basis for all the subsequent information constructs. For example, love is a complex feeling, though the young generation - children - have to deal with it and face its influence quite early. The child has to lay the first foundation of such strong and still incomprehensible to young age of feelings totally on one's own, being literally guided by touch. It turns out that instead of helping children to get to understand themselves and learn the issues of worldview, they are being overfed with shallow knowledge, never explaining anything of truly important, interesting and actual questions for them. As a result, the child starts to mentally close off from the outside world, fairly feeling uncomprehended. The teenage riot is mainly the fault of parents and education systems. The older generation, carelessly letting everything to chance, leaves children alone in facing the brutal laws of the children’s «herd». Therefore, parents with their eternal prohibitions lose their authority, trust and affection. Children find leaders among their surroundings, among those who are able to share with them the problems relevant for the puberty age... Of course, this is only one of all possible scenarios. Living and socializing in the system, communicating only with representatives of the same system, a child cannot physically learn to think differently except in the context of the system. Only one way of thinking.
>> Do we educate our children correctly? Do we teach them the right things?
The school education system, to put it mildly, is not a system of education even at the level of the term's etymology itself. Numerous school-leavers after graduating may want to cut off with a scalpel «education» received at school. An actively forming organism is forced to stay 5 - 6 hours a day, 5 - 6 days a week in a hostile environment of cognitive tension and irritation in the psyche. Can't avoid reminding you again: a person is productive for only four hours a day. For a mature person it can still be called «permanent stress», but for a child is nothing but psychological violence.
> What can the school offer? What can it teach?
Language; Literature; History; Mathematics; Geometry; Algebra; Geography; Biology; Chemistry; Physics; Informatics (the list is not complete)
What to do with all this information? No, seriously - to get the package of knowledge listed above, a person needs to give away 10 years of life. I want answers: what do you do with all this information? Isn't the price too high? Which of the parents today or former students does remember the school program (middle and high school) well? How useful has it become in life?
> Short blitz:
How to find the centroid of a triangle?
What is different sin from cos?
What relation does the number π (pi) have to the number τ (tau)?
What is «chord»?
Which three parts are divided into the pestle?
What is the feature of brachistochrone?
How to divide a polyp into one member?
What is the density of alcohol?
How to calculate the area of a circle?
It is not even about how much knowledge is needed from the school curriculum. Let us recall how boring and inefficient the presentation of educational material was, which makes us want to forget about our time we have spent at school, with all the educational material. And the events that you want to forget, as we know, never give any positive changes to mentality.
10 years spent.
And they created the school as the devil commanded. The child loves nature, so he was locked in four walls. He can not sit without moving, so he was forced into immobility. He likes to work with his hands, and he began to teach theories and ideas. He likes to talk - he was told to remain silent. He seeks to understand - he was commanded to learn by heart. He would like to explore and search for knowledge himself, but he was given them in ready form. And then the children learned what they would never have learned in other conditions. They learned to lie and pretend."
— Adolphe Ferrière
>> Let us do a thought experiment:
After the first three classes of school education and acquisition by children of basic skills of writing, counting etc., let's transfer them all to a playground area where each will find his own toy, his set of pens, paints, musical instruments. In the context of eliminating competition - everything is common, all the same, everything's in excess. How will the young society be built?
They will first divide by interests. Then they will form groups for cooperation. Of course, in each group there will be a leader who will set the original «rules of the game», but each of the participants can enrich and update these rules. Draw a general picture, play musical instruments in harmony, play the «house», creating the integrity of the story... When children’s attention is focused on something, they will not have the need for direct interpersonal competition. At the end we will have a society of creatively developed people who know how to work in teams, putting at the center the common goal, not the personal benefit. All this, of course, is supervised by a teacher, telling «what», «how» and «for what», in parallel avoiding conflicts. At a certain age, the general education starts with a variety of professions and industries, in which the child can find himself (herself).
Modern schools simply overwhelm the psyche, and thus, thus, being out of the adult’s sight, children begin to recoup and take it out on each other, trying to fight their stress. We all grew up this way. We were raised this way. We don’t see any other alternatives. However, there are alternatives. It's just we haven’t created them yet.
In most countries of the world, the education of the young generation is at the level of XVIII - XIX centuries. This long-standing system of education has been and continues to be aimed primarily at preparing a qualified participant in the production process for society. This system is not interested in all other potencies of the human brain, and therefore, outside of the production process, the modern man remains a psychological cave-man, an uneducated man.
The failure to use these potencies results in the individual’s inability to perceive our complex world in all its contradictions. It is also the inability to connect psychologically incompatible concepts and phenomena and the inability to enjoy the consideration of relationships and patterns, unless they directly address the most primitive social instincts. In other words, this system of education does not develop in man a pure imagination, fantasy and - as an immediate consequence - sense of humor.
The Uneducated man perceives the world as a trivial, routine, traditionally simple process from which only with great effort it is possible to stamp out pleasures, after all, quite routine and traditional. But also the unused potency apparently remains a hidden reality of the human brain. The task of science pedagogy is to get these potencies moving, to teach people fantasy, to bring the multiplicity and diversity of potential human psychic connections into qualitative and quantitative correspondence with the multiplicity and diversity of real world connections. This is the task that must be humanity’s main task in the coming era.
— Strugački Brothers
«The Predatory Things of the Century»
School education is deficient, firstly, because it makes all the children think the same way. Vivacity of thinking, flexibility of mind, brightness of fantasy - these are just the qualities that school, unfortunately, does not develop in children. Rather the opposite - they are being repressed by the school system. All the tasks set by the educational process can be solved only in one, the only correct way - the one that has been taught let by the school system:
The answer is true, but the pattern of solution is different from the textbook? One point off. The answer is written with the pen of the wrong color? Let yourself make some slight tiny slips? Here we go! With other equal issues the grade expected by system would be:
3– out of 5
(C— instead A)
No one really needs the correct answers - neither the teacher, nor student, nor parents. Schools do not teach to be successful, they teach all children to think monotonously, to be standard, to be like everyone else. And also, it teaches that it is better to keep silent. No government institution welcomes initiatives, nor encourages free thinking. The system does not like rebels. The system likes when everyone goes in silence in a given direction. And hardly anyone wonders where exactly this direction leads to.
>> In 1618, the disagreements between the Catholic and Protestant churches extended and gave a base to the most devastating and bloody conflict at that time, which affected the whole of Europe. The Thirty Years' War was the last religious war captured by history. The scientific revolution followed with new discoveries pushed people to gradually move from a spiritual to a material world view. In parallel with civilization approaching the industrial age, and the philosophical community «killing» God, a new seed began to grow out of the ashes of past conflicts - nationalism.
> Nationalism is a modern phenomenon. Throughout history, people have been attached to their kin group and traditions, to territorial authorities and to their homeland. However, only since the eighteenth century nationalism started being viewed as a part of human convictions about themselves and society.
History will continue to run the human race in perpetual round dance, until we stop making the same wrong decisions. If in the old age Catholics used to kill Protestants, and Protestants had no mercy for Catholics; but in the modern age... nothing has changed. The religion’s phoenix has died. The nationalism of the phoenix was born from the ashes and burned the world with even more searing flame than the fires of inquisition used to. Mindset… Mindset never changes.
>> What any power fears indeed is armed revolution. To avoid the development of an undesirable scenario, the state apparatus always seeks to establish control over the behavior of the population. The task: to suppress | prevent revolutionary attitudes in the very beginning, but the best - in their conception stage by any means possible.
> To maintain the population’s level of subsistence, finance public programs and raise social standards.
> To increase the level of fear and generously sponsor power structures.
> To cultivate the ideas of nationalism and patriotism in the minds of citizens, starting since childhood.
The problems arising in the public environment are not so much solved in order of importance, but rather with regard to the reaction of the population regarding certain events. For the state, as a legislative segment of power, people are just numbers in statistical data graphs. The less civil unrest they reflect, the more stable the country is. What this stability is based on - satisfaction or patience - does not really matter. The only thing that changes is the influence instrument. Nothing will be reaching the changes as long as society shows passivity in defending its own interests. Do you stand idly by? So either you are happy, or you are ready to continue tolerating... and where the tolerance is manifested, crime and lawlessness starts to flourish. In the face of the state there are no particularities, personalities and individuals. There is a mass that can (and therefore needs) to be managed.
Changing the ruling party can only be useful at a short distance and a short term, which is the basis of democracy. But the very vector of «evolution» of any state apparatus remains potentially problematic. The central authority is always, in all circumstances, primarily aimed at preserving its own integrity. And any price is acceptable. This does not mean that all politicians are moral invalids, wanting only blood and domination. Though it means that all the management mechanisms have been worked out for a long time. And if the mechanism is not changed, then the consequences of its work will never change.
>> It is easier to control the mass when it thinks and acts as a single and, most importantly, predictable organism. How is its predictability guaranteed? By training. By the whip and the carrot. This is called operant conditioning. Money is a very convenient educational tool. The main thing is that the majority of the population should not have too much, in ideal - the permanent insufficient of money. If you run for days after carrots, there will be no time or desire to think about «any nonsense». There will be no time or desire to even develop the right values in their own children. So we trust the state to raise them, right?
School is an instrument of institutionalization, armed with state power, which is not interested in the creative potential of the population. Free mind is the enemy. As it was substantiated above, it is easier to govern a crowd (people, nation) when there is a common goal. The state assumes the role of an idealistic flightmaker, telling people where to turn while political intrigues are wading behind their backs. People are driven by ideas. If not their own ideas, then others'. Where do all today’s ideas lead us? And should we follow them indeed?
Capitalism, socialism, communism, as well as nationalism and patriotism are the ideas that we serve thoughtlessly, often not even really understanding them.
>> A man is a permanently circulating element within the self-regulating single geosystem. He has no pity or compassion, no solidarity and understanding. There are laws and there is a cannibalistic mechanism that thoughtlessly grinds anyone who has fallen into its gears with no mercy. And we fall under these gears immediately, by our birth right. Since childhood we have lived in social bounds. We are surrounded by patterns and various prohibitions. We are surrounded by the establishment and, of course, the adults who tirelessly ensure that all the patterns and prohibitions are not violated, and the establishment is fully respected. Why and what for? These are ridiculous questions, as we are constantly told. Not yet understanding the world, not yet having a good knowledge of the surrounding reality, children already want to grow up soon. The early years are a time of dependence, and a person's soul usually demands as much freedom as possible.
> I am forbidden to do so much yet.
> Yet I can’t afford what I want.
> There are so many demands on me right now.
> It is all just for now, but later when I grow up...
...nothing changes:
To feel free, it is not enough to grow up and be an adult. You need money. Lots of money. The more money, the more freedom. Isn’t that right? Freedom, power, influence... The ability to affect people is undoubtedly pleasing to our ego. We like to be listened to, but we like to listen to others much less. It is all natural: the more we influence people, the less they can affect us - a simple model of social interaction that is intuitively understood since childhood. Ordinary physics: the more massive an object is, the larger its gravitational influence. Market interactions (and more) are organized on the same principle: a smaller money mass will always revolve around a larger money mass - at this point it becomes obvious why people’s sums greatly exceed any consumer capacity. This is where greed and avidity have their origin. Money is considered the equivalent of personal freedom, power, and influence. Who would want to lose such privileges? But that is not the most interesting question. If the level of freedom depends on the amount of money, who is actually whose slave? The person controls money, or money controls the person? Where is all the power and independence when the price of currency is equal to the cost of its production? But well, all these are just lyrics...
>> Wandering through the net, you may come across a very funny joke:
> My cat thinks she’ll be independent once she learns to open canned food. Though she never thinks about where these cans come from.
Though it seems funny only until you start getting into its essence: are domestic cats so much different from modern people? The first one has a can with food. The second one has a bank with money. The difference is that canned goods depend only on stable storage conditions, while banking systems depend on a multitude of factors that are not always predictable. In other words, the cat’s complacency has a stronger basis than the self-satisfaction of a man living in the illusory confidence of his better position. This idea will be better understood on the very day when money becomes paper towels, food supplies to supermarkets cease (unless the canned cat food).
The current system always plays against a man. So, by playing by the rules, we are playing to our own determinant. This is a consequence of the fact that money is the only form of freedom available to the average citizen. As it is possible for judicial, executive and legislative power to block any financial account (with a good reason or without), seize the cash out of circulation and transfer of all currency transactions to digital space, - none of us will have to worry about our rights and freedoms anymore - the state will take care of it.
>> The drama of our situation is that humanity is destroying what it feeds. Namely, the market, its laws and pursuit of personal gain. «It is easier to imagine the end of the world than the end of capitalism» - said Slava Zhijek. However, not if the end of the world is capitalism, supported by the state apparatus of all the world’s powers. We have adapted ourselves to the market laws. They permeate our entire existence. Money has replaced everything. They have become a yardstick even for interpersonal relationships. Humanity is selling time of its own life for nothing. What else is it, if madness?
The banknotes are no longer supported, and their sure replacement by cash-free systems may not seem like a big problem... But there is an issue: if only the inhabitants of economically advanced countries start closing their bank accounts en masse - the system falls, and so does the world economy. However, there is not enough cash for everyone physically. Digitizing all financial transactions and eliminating paper money is a matter of the close future.
> How will this affect the life of an average person? It is simple: total control. Though there is a way out of this system. It is situated at the same place as the entrance - in your head.

>> What is an error? An error is a decision, action or omission that ultimately leads to an undesirable result. The current state of world public opinion is the result of a huge number of mistakes that we continue making every day. The easiest way to perceive our social system is as a clockwork mechanism where gears keep spinning - events keep happening.
> Permanent wars.
> The Danger of an Environmental Catastrophe.
> The consumption cult.
> Conflict of generations.
> Widespread depressions.
> The problem of the middle-aged crisis.
> Gender and race conflict.
> Daily stress.
> Regular cases of suicide among adolescents.
> The Transition Age Crisis...
(...list not complete)
All this is the result of our social mechanism's activities. So let’s assume that such a mechanism is objectively defective. The goal of my entire narrative is to try to fix our social system, at least on paper, and figure out its problematics. Let us start in order, trying to think in the most rational way. And before that we must agree what will be chosen to consider rational, and what won't:
There is a widespread idea that instincts are supposedly irrational, because they «work» against logic. Is this so? And can we distinguish the nature-based desires (passions) by the criteria of rationality or irrationality?
The concepts of «mind» and «rational» are usually related to thinking processes; by «rational» thinking is usually meant a process that is subject to the laws of logic and is not subject to distortions by affects, emotions or any pathological conditions of the subject. However, the words «rational» and «irrational» are often used also in relation to feelings and actions. For example, an economist may call it «irrational» to save labor by putting expensive machinery into production in a country where there is an abundance of unskilled labor (though there is not enough highly qualified workers). Or an annual expenditure of 180 billion dollars to arms could be called irrational (meaning global expenditure, while 80% of that amount is spent by the great powers). And the reasoning is that this money goes to produce things that have no use in peacetime.
I propose to call rational any thought, feeling or action that contributes to the adequate functioning and growth of the whole system (of which it is a part), and everything that tends to weaken or destroy the whole, to consider irrational. It is clear that only empirical analysis of the whole system can show what is rational and what is not.
— Erich Fromm
In agreement with Fromm’s logic, the following question should be asked: does our social system strive for integrity?
> Permanent wars.
> The Danger of an Environmental Catastrophe.
> The consumption cult.
> Conflict of generations.
> Widespread depressions.
> The problem of the middle-aged crisis.
> Gender and race conflict.
> Daily stress.
> Regular cases of suicide among adolescents.
> The Transition Age Crisis.
The problems described above are hardly helpful for the integrity of the system. To put it more rudely, our social system is falling apart right under our «uninvolved» feet. Yes, maybe not our generation created it. But our generation has adopted it and continues supporting it.
Based on Fromm’s thinking, we may conclude that the system in which we exist today is irrational. At best, it is rational about itself, and only if you look at it from the inside. Why do we have the illusion of rationality in such a system? First of all, it is because we look at it only from the inside and it is difficult for us to adequately assess all its defects. We were born and grew up in it. We never knew any other system. We have nothing to compare with. This is the foundation of all our convictions and misconceptions. Why is our system like that? The popular answer we usually have is «it's been historically built this way». But this statement is too rickety. Our ancestors did not always do the right things, and not all their mistakes were corrected by us. Why should we continue to walk into the same water (or falling into the same trap)?
>> Let us imagine a situation: there is a world map on the table and some number of players sitting at the table. I take out from the box some amount of mosaic elements, putting them on the table, calling them chips and suggesting to play with some manner if monopoly with them. The rules of the game are being invented on the fly. We can create «healthy» competition. The one who has more chips, dominates. We will run this mess through a few generations of players and no one will even think that the most valuable element of the game I have left to myself. And that is the box that shows the overall picture.
Though some people from time to time get that the rules of their game are broken, so they start playing by the rules of the original - collect the overall picture as their knowledge, interests and capabilities (usually ignoring everything that is not interesting or important to them), and then giving their own interpretations of what they have been able to assemble. Hence came religion, esotericism, philosophy, and all of science. However, these are only interpretations of reality. Yes, even science. It has come a long way and described many false images of the world. Do you know how many interpretations of quantum mechanics exist?
>> The most common interpretations:
> «None» («Shut up and count!»)
> The Copenhagen interpretation
> The Many worlds
> De Broglie - Boehm's (pilot-wave)
> Superdeterminism
>> Rare interpretations:
> Relational
> Objective reduction
> Quantum Bayesian
> Transactional
> Von Neumann - Vigner
> Blokhintsev
> Fock
There are probably about as many of them, interpretations, as there are the other religions. And I am not disputing scientific works right now. What I mean is that at any moment there is a possible discovery, able to reverse and completely change our understanding of reality. We are still on the way and that should be taken into account. Everything we know about the world is just our interpretation of reality. Our interpretation of society. And it’s critically distorted.
Taking the example with the puzzles and projecting it to the nowadays reality, it is possible to formulate the following thought: what is the purpose to fight for the territories that should form a single whole? What is the purpose of competing when we need to cooperate? Aren't people able to negotiate and come to an agreement? Should we try to change the rules of the game? The current political model, in its current form, is disfigured. The idea of a nation is destructive. It sows disunity, which sooner or later brings the conflict. And, what is equally bad, is that all this takes our attention away from the most important - the overall picture. The correct question here will not be «why is the system like this?», but «why do most people not see the urgent need to change anything?». The answer to this question lies in the peculiarities of our thinking.
>> Is the following logical sequence correct:
> I am an elephant. All elephants are pink. Does this mean that I am pink?
Thinking logically, the answer is yes, it is true. However.... I am not an elephant. The very first statement in this chain is already wrong. And so is the second one. That leads us to the false positive answer. Is it true that we can not live without money? Yes, it is. With other equal system elements this statement can be considered correct. But the thing is, we all live in conditions where we cannot live without money. Can it be that the conditions themselves are incorrect? Society sets a challenge to every person. Each of us, by virtue of our talents and interests, acquires the necessary skills and abilities to solve this challenge. That is, every person now is at the point in his life where he has been brought by his rational interaction with the system, and if we are satisfied at this point, therefore, the problem is solved correctly. Is that right? But what if the very conditions of our task were wrong and false? It is not very difficult to prove, simply by solving the problem in the perspective of all humanity, just beyond today. Fifty years ahead. Mentally spin the mechanism of our social clock into the not so distant future.
> Permanent wars.
> The Danger of an Environmental Catastrophe.
> The consumption cult.
> Conflict of generations.
> Widespread depressions.
> The problem of the middle-aged crisis.
> Gender and race conflict.
> Daily stress.
> Regular cases of suicide among adolescents.
> The Transition Age Crisis.
What prospects do we have with such preconditions? The worst thing we can do thinking about this question is to expect problems to solve themselves. We people are all different and unique, and each of us may have his own view on the solution of the above problems. So I propose to start first with a search for common denominators for all.
>> And the first thing we should take for granted now is that the current socio-political system is not sustainable in the long run. To put it simply, this system is broken.
The Game theory is a branch of mathematical economics that studies the resolution of conflicts between players and the optimality of their strategies. Conflicts can relate to different areas of human interests: most often these are economics, sociology, political science, and less often - biology, cybernetics and even military science. A conflict is any situation in which the interests of two or more participants, traditionally called players, are affected. For each player, there is a certain set of strategies that he or she can apply. By intersecting, the strategies of several players create a certain situation in which each player gets a certain result, called a «gain», «positive» or «negative». When choosing a strategy, it is important to consider not only maximizing your own benefit, but also the possible moves of your opponent, and their impact on the situation as a whole.
In short, we have two players, A and B. Each of them has 10 points and two strategies of interaction - peace and war. The strategy of war is worth 5 points to be used. If each player chooses the peace, then nobody loses anything. If A chooses peace and B choses war, then B wins the war from unarmed A and takes 10 points. And the same is vice versa, when A chooses the strategy of war and B is in peace. The strategy of armament will be considered a rational strategy for both.
> If you want peace, prepare for war.
> But you also want war - prepare for war.
How is it possible in such a situation to distinguish one behavior from another? By no means.
Of all the others, modern geopolitics, as we can see, is only good at one thing: finding an external adversary. When everybody suspects everyone and starts to think up the countermeasures for their own suspicions, then there is no need to look for an external enemy, because the enemy will be everywhere. «We are against those who are against us for not being with them». Instead of creating a paradise for all mankind, we have created a paradise for Satan. Give up your hope, everyone who is coming in here. This world cannot be repaired with these conditions. Vae victis! And that is not life itself. It is the way the game is. There is no way to be right here. Here you are either guilty or ignorant. But the solution is simple: the player must remain alone. Not by war, but by universal agreement. The common ideology of cosmopolitanism is what would be a really rational solution.
>> I want to emphasize: it is not a political view, it is a mathematical model.
Of course, today there is no way cosmopolitanism could be possible. And the experience of the USSR has made it clear that the union of states is not a guarantee of a stable society. But cosmopolitanism can serve as a good reference, like a guide star. It must be an international goal, where humanity should strive as a species. However, by this moment we have a society raised on the deformed understanding of the world, which means the broken interpersonal relations. There is no possibility that anyone has managed to avoid it. We are all broken. Everyone, from the educators to the presidents. And many of these failures may be reflected in AI technologies. Or the AI may come to the conclusion that a person must be saved from a human. It is so, because we educate people on personal gain, private property, individualism, going over heads and so on. This is the model today. That’s where the problems lie. The modern human knows only how to destroy this world. For that, not much intelligence is needed. Who will think about how to repair it now? If all existing conflicts are not resolved now, the next war may already occur between the Artificial Intelligence on the arms of the world powers. And we will just watch the world dying in this chess game. The matter of cosmopolitanism (with existing trends) is literally a matter of our survival.
Before we can start a qualitative discussion of the proposed topic, there is something that must be changed in the consciousness of the world. It is about our thinking. As long as it remains unchanged, history will not stop spinning us all in the same crazy chorus.
>> What is defective about the thinking of an average person? To answer this question, we should track and view how exactly our thinking is formed in the existing system. As I have already written: there is a task, set before any person by the society, in which each of us, by virtue of our talents and interests, acquires the necessary skills and abilities to solve the problem. In other words, each of us throughout our growth and formation learns to interact with the system and studies it from the inside. Each of us gains experience, Tries to be effective and absorbs the socio-cultural code of the system. As it was mentioned earlier: living, socializing in the system and communicating only with representatives of the system, a person often simply can not learn to think differently from the context of the system. And this is what’s deficient about the thinking of the average person:
It is standard;
It is constrained by the framework of a system;
It has a tendency to reject all foreign contexts;
It is linear and moves along the tracks of social norms, which might not be so bad in itself if the system were favorable.
But this is not our case, and therefore all our thinking can stand on the tracks of social misconceptions and roll to parts unknown.
Also, pattern thinking is conservative thinking, which can be fatal at a long distance and lead to systematic repetition of the same mistakes. If nature were conservative, we would probably multiply by the divide until now. The conservative system may be compared to a stagnant pool: life may even begin in it, but such life will be doomed to eat itself... which we are actually seeing in today’s world. Politics not only people must change, but also the ideas. They should evolve and grow.
>> The second thing we should take for granted: a broken system will be mostly populated by a mentally disturbed society. This is natural.
Each of us is a living organism that lives in the system. There is life and there is a habitat. Both are concepts that can be adapted to each other, but only within certain boundaries. Today's human has left his habitat far behind, including in psychological aspects (the habitat natural for psychically healthy humans). We live far from the normal society. Simply, someone’s psyche is able to adapt, while someone tends to break. The first case and the second - both are overt violence. The proof of this is an unjustifiably large amount of daily stress, which can lead to not the most pleasant consequences: depression, increased aggression, overeating, alcoholism, drug abuse and so on.
>> The third postulate: supporting today’s social system means supporting the politics of violence. We may not understand this, but it does not mean that we are not involved in this violence, even if our intentions are pure.
Insanity is doing the exact same thing over and over again expecting things to change. That is madness.
What does that mean? Let me give you an example: trying time after time to brew tea in cold water and expect that the hundred and first time it finally will be well-boiled - is madness. Every day we keep sending children to school, where they often do not want to go, into an environment, which is often stressful for them... and hoping that it will be possible to avoid the teenage rebellion. And when it comes not possible to avoid, then we start fighting them with punishment system, and, again, continue believe that it will not affect their psyche, which is still forming. Of course, in our subjective experiences we certainly intend to give our children the best. But in the objective reality we do rather the opposite. We adapt them to the system patterns and politics of social violence. As it is said, with the good intentions, the road to hell is paved, and literally, the road to the broken system. I suppose, there is no necessity to explain the difference between the loved work and the monotonous one - the modes is exactly the same.
At birth a person is in some way «locked» between the two worlds: external (social) and internal his personal. In ideal, these two worlds should develop equally when one qualitatively complements the other, but we have nothing of the kind even close. Yes, on the one hand, it is impossible to build up the world for each individual, but, on the other hand, nobody tries to do this even partially (school education is the best example to prove it). There are just social norms, and no matter how deep your inner world is - nobody really cares… You have to break yourself trying your best to follow the patterns that you have been imposed here. Otherwise you will not stay in business and become an outsider. Nobody will take care of you, as there are enough problems for everyone around. And most people accept the rules of this game. Everything inside gradually becomes a copy of the outside, and patterns become «own conclusions» and «personal opinions» thereby additionally getting captured on the unconscious level. It’s not about consciousness - the brain just takes us along prototyped paths. So, it is not thinking. It is a mental carousel with the illusion of rational approach and free thinking. We simply exist in the orbit of others and (more importantly) deficient ideas that will only degrade our society. The system forces us to make the same mistakes, casually telling us that everything is fine, the way it should be. This time the result will be different.
Do we have an adequate education system today? No, we don't. Do we have an adequate labor code? Neither. Maybe, our political system is adequate? No way. Is it possible to build an adequate society in such conditions? Is the world economy adequate? Are market laws adequate? Is our view and understanding of reality adequate? All this must be put into question today. If we were so seriously mistaken about education, labor law and politics, it's mostly possible that we could be wrong about anything else. Our entire social structure is the product of distorted interpretations and whole complexes of cognitive defects that we passionately impose on each other. So it is necessary to ask ourselves: do we control our brain or does it control us? The answer to that is on the surface.
Can you create silence in your head, looking at the same point and not thinking about anything for one dingle minute? If not - you are not a master of your brain. Very often to this statement you can hear something like: «For this I have fishing / running / cycling / etc, it helps concentrating and not thinking about anything». This view is wrong, as the point is not just in the process of «not thinking about anything» itself. It should be a permanent state. When there are no thought processes in the head - there is no value, and neither when there are too many, which becomes only a noise without results. The brain should be clear, so that it can focus its attention on useful processes whenever is necessary and remain free for the rest of the time. Otherwise, it turns out that the average human brain exists only in two modes:
nothing happens in it
too much happens in it
The meditative state of mind, also known as Internal Dialogue Stop (IDS) - is necessary, first and foremost as a mental hygiene. There are several different ways to achieve IDS. Meditation, as a practice, is one of them. You start hearing yourself better and follow less public opinions. People live by what is spinning in their heads. And the less of various rubbish there is inside - the better. If the thoughts in your head do not bring anything new, why are they still there? Do you get more experience from them? Obviously not. You already know how to do what you are keen on. Experience doing something else. Expand your comfort zone. You can always return to the point where you are now. And if there is no time or energy for this, it brings us back to the question of the damage of the existing social system that plays against the human being. It does not help but forces. «There is no slavery more hopeless than the slavery of those slaves who claim to be free from the shackles».
There are two systems of thinking:
System 1 : works automatically and very quickly, with minimal or no effort and without the feeling of intentional control.
System 2 : gives the attention needed for conscious mental efforts, including complex calculations. The actions of S2 are often associated with a subjective sense of choice and concentration.
— Daniel Kahneman
«Think slowly... Decide quickly»
System 1 is the system of quick decisions. It is vital in urgent cases when the situation makes it necessary to choose one of two possible actions - hit | run. In both cases, the individual does not have time for additional reflection on each action, but this is not required: S1 cannot doubt or think critically. When it comes to survival, there should be no distracting doubts. The erroneous but sure series of actions is more effective than the permanent doubt in each subsequent movement. It may remind of how the brain works in «mode» of dreaming: the situations that happen inside the dream hardly ever cause doubts. Even the complete absurdity does not require any explanation, the brain just solves the problem, it is not interested in causality, only circumstances.
> S1 is not about qualitative thinking.
> S1 is more about action.
> S1 is a reflex, pattern, regime of instant reaction, but not a deliberate and balanced solution.
> S1 processes only the most essential information at any particular moment in time and ignores the rest (meaning, almost any).
> S1 seeks to provide the most rational solutions based on circumstances, experience and personal (and others) interests of the individual. Combined with the inability to question the decision, it makes S1 a good «defender» (when it comes to life and health), but not the most reliable «advisor».
Although S2 is in the process of information processing and recognizes itself as the «final decision maker», most of our solutions are produced by S1.
>> Thought dictates action and action creates history. Including every personal history, every single person taken. How to start acting if the person does not even think of any action? Only reflexively. Probably, it is the way most people live. We rationalize and interpret the circumstances in a way that is consistent with our personal worldview. The brain tends to do a lot of things on its own. It can draw the big picture without our conscious intervention. Figuratively speaking - many people just drift along with their brain activity without even trying to reimagine anything in their lives. If a man is not a master of his thoughts, he is therefore not a master of his actions. It is not control, but just an illusion of control. The illusion of freedom and free thought.
Any choice is determined by circumstances, experience and the characteristics of personal perception. The ability to manage personal perception (so as to set a vector for one’s own thinking) opens up the possibility of making more conscious choices rather than taking the lead in public opinion. I am sure we can easily agree on the following statement: the existing social system is extremely contradictory. Therefore, any opinion formed within such a system makes only a part of the contradiction. How did we get ourselves into this state? We got there by lying. The widespread lies (especially political lies) have produced a catastrophic number of misconceptions. It accumulated for centuries, was thoroughly passed from generation to generation, so now anyone thinking by the pattern is simply not able to think sensibly. Here and there, we will come across false references caused by the contradictions of the system. Such a system is simply not capable of being stable. It exists only on the basis of imposed values. It needs to be completely revisited. We should pay attention not to our own opinion itself, but to the mechanisms and patterns that it (the opinion) has been shaped by. These patterns are broken.
We make conclusions based on our life experience. However, all of our life experience (as it were, to avoid offending anyone) is incorrect. It was obtained by interacting with a broken system. In other words, we misuse our experience. It should be aimed at identifying and correcting problems. But in fact we use it rather to best fit them. What we suffer from. Not all circumstances need to be adjusted. Many of them need to be changed. The ability to influence circumstances in a balanced and reasonable way is what distinguishes us from the other animals.

>> Let us verbalize the above mentioned pustules once again:
The existing social system is broken and unsustainable in the long run.
The broken system will be populated mostly by a mentally disturbed society.
Maintaining the existing system means supporting the policy of social violence.
It all leads us to the point where the solution of the main problems of our day can be reduced to three key points:
To give children adequate upbringing and education (in the sense that it would not break their psyche).
Release them to the world where they will face not the permanent stress, but adequate activities - both mental stimulation and physical workload.
Their educational base should contain the context of current social problems, both present and future. Promising a cloudless future is lying. Sadly, today we do almost nothing about it.
Children must be taught to change the world. We can not hide them from all problems. Now it is not the time to allow yourself to simply go with the flow. What you sow, you reap. We sow people who can change the world and the world will change. We sow consumers and they will eat it like locusts. We either think of how to fix things, or we live by the laws of the kingdom of the curved mirrors.
One of our most important social responsibilities is to provide children with adequate education and care, and we are clearly not fulfilling this responsibility. Lockdown of the early 2020s showed that parents do not really want spending time with their children. Parents rather want give kids the tablet so that they do not disturb them or interfere with their living. We must admit that as long as we are moving forward with our adult problems, we have no concern for children. In fact, we just throw them into the thick of our rotting society and watch them wallow helplessly. Even such a simple task as «observation», we, frankly speaking, can not do well. Until someone literally drowns someone - we don't have any deal. Of course, many people would argue that they are watching their child very well. However, you’re missing one very important issue: the child’s personality is shaped not so much by the influence of parents, but by the influence of his environment (meaning, the children like himself). We should either start thinking of each child as our own, or the mentally healthy and happy society remains a dream. At least in the conditions that exist nowadays. There are no other children, or strange children in the world (all of them are our collective responsibility)
What can a child who grows up learn in all this mess around us? He can only learn to copy it. There’s no more to focus on. The tragedy of our situation is that most of us have not grown up yet and did not learn to operate properly with his consciousness. Although, we seem to be absolutely sure in the opposite. We are adults only in relation to children, and this is not the most reliable foundation for such a semantic load as «adult».
Today’s society is just children once abandoned to the wild.
Transition age is not a natural phenomenon, but a period of tremendous mental stress. It is breaking us and forcing the system to crisis. Now, to get back on track and stop indulging the system, we need to go through this crisis again. And yes - this time the pain may be much greater than in youth, when the psyche was much more flexible. The older you get, the more painful and difficult it will be. The child’s brain is a sponge. The old man’s brain is a brick. The more you get stuck in your own mistakes, the harder it is to admit them. Our expectations are our main brake. We only see the world as we used to see it, and we search for only what we expect to find in it. However, all the expectations are imposed on us, and habits are trained. The system shows us only what it wants to show and does not show anything that it wishes to keep in secret. And beyond these borders there is a whole infinite world. A world that can give much more than we expect.
What is deception? The answer to this question can be formulated in different ways, so let’s start with the simplest. Deception, in social interactions - is when one person does not receive the promised/expected in the context of certain agreements, while the other person has some benefit from it. But if you deliberately do not promise anything specific and intentionally lower (or overstate) human expectations - would it be a deception? Absolutely. At least this will be a form of deception. Just like if you start selling anything triplement. Let us better call it marketing (or the laws of the market) instead of cheating. The claim that demand creates supply is literally as a parasitization on human needs, especially if these needs were created artificially. Manipulating the expectations is not perceived by one individual as a classic / obvious deception, and the other side still gets its benefits.
An adequate human desire to spend less than two-thirds of one’s conscious life at work and be able to make ends meet is considered not very realistic. Who cares about our desires or expectations? The life of the average citizen is not designed for this. It is framed to a completely different norm - the labor code. Are we sure the labor code does not border on cheating? The way it exists today - it is literally a stressful pit. And this architecture of deception applies to everything today. From politics to education. What do we expect from the educational system? And what do we get from it in reality?
The main task of a good liar is to cheat social expectations and give the real for the desired. And then the human brain will do everything on its own. It is this «autonomy» that will be sold as a «conscious choice». The deluded expectations are the foundation for all subsequent logical false constructs. Therefore, most of the social illusions and cognitive distortions are being created in the deformed expectations.
>> Ask politicians what we are looking for? You will not get any certain answer. Russian world - [?] American dream - [?] Bright future - [?]. Do these ideas even have specifics? No. Under [?] can be written literally anything. This is the kind of wording that is convenient: just put the right thing. The world has no purpose. No multitude knows what it wants. So the powers-that-be tell us what we want. This needs to be changed. Society needs adequate goals to have a clear understanding of what we all as a species are striving for. It is not the presidential candidates who should be writing their own campaign. The campaign program should be made up of people (within reasonable limits, of course) which should say: this is how we want to live. Whoever wants to implement our program should run for office.
Now the question is: how do we want to live?
24/32-hour, two-shift working week (economy should be adapted to the person, not the person to the economy).
Primary education focused on developing creative potential.
Ban on mass production of plastic.
Environmental programmes focused not only for the protection but also for the regeneration.
Transparent tax system (people have a right to know what exactly their taxes are going for).
Courteous law enforcement officials.
Affordable and quality medicine.
Reduction of bureaucratic organizations.
Politicians who are not older than 50-60 years.
Organization of Civil Committees with the power to remove politicians from power.
This is just an example. The actual list in fact is way longer. Here it should be clear that the state is a well-organized structure, while society is rather disorganized. Everyone, first of all, wants to think only about himself. And this causes people not having adequate ability to influence the state. We are divided and do not see a common goal for all of us. The current world arrangement gives benefits to only the powerful ones, which are the only ones that have the real opportunity to lobby for personal (often selfish) interests. All others have to adapt themselves to these interests. Although here instead of adapt it is more correct to say - deform: to be deformed by the rules of the game. Ultimately, such deformations become a base to a public worldview. It literally forms it.
It would seem that no one needs to explain how important it is to take care of the environment, and how much adequate education reform is needed. Then why does anyone hardly ever think about this topic? Because people’s perceptions are distorted and deformed. Everyone has the main focus on oneself (as always having better and more important things to do). And that’s perfectly normal. When you spend all your time on work and daily life, it is almost impossible to focus on anything else. There is no effort, no time, no desire. The individual is in a state of permanent discomfort. We have been taught this way and been artificially adapted to such discomfort from the very childhood. Who to thank for all this? The whole modern political school. It is absolutely disgusting. Power is the hired hand of its people. We pay taxes, and it does its job. Let it report on its work and show what our money has been spent on. Without this, any system of government will hardly be able to function adequately on a permanent basis. Without this, any system of government will hardly be able to admit its own mistakes.
Do we think money should make money? Definitely not. Money should help people. All the people. And if an oligarch who takes most of the money for himself is considered as a norm, then such norms are insane and people who support them are crazy. Let us take it for granted that a lot of money is bad for one person. Such a person is probably greedy. And greed is a mental disorder that needs to be treated. And not only greed... pride, anger, envy, lust / fornication, gluttony, despondency are all markers of mental disorders, not sins. There was no psychology two thousand years ago, though there surely were psychological disorders. «Sins» are just a way of talking about them. Words... words are not the most natural form of communication. Yes - a person has a well-developed speech apparatus that is able to make various sounds. Each individual set of sounds is given a shape and meaning. Though, we could also communicate with zero and one, or by points and dash (does not matter at all). However, to get into the essence of the words said, we must already be able to read between the lines. It takes empathy. Without empathy, we become biobots without even noticing. Empathy is a natural and universal form of communication at least among mammals. We are a living part of our entire living world. And we can communicate with empathy. But the universe will hardly speak to us with words: it has no vocal cords. It can only communicate via feelings, senses, emotions, images, sounds and empathy. People are often closed off from all of this. Most people even think with words, and therefore miss the whole point. They get themselves further from their nature.
We are used to evaluating interpersonal communication mainly via the verbal component. Let us try to view this in more detail: imagine emotional communication. Now paint the emotions in color. And assign a wavelength to the color. All people are sources of waves. Will these waves suppress each other? Or will they amplify each other? Can they resonate? Depends on the source. Emotionless communication is the same as machine communication. This is not necessarily bad though. Each star has its own piece of the sky, as it is said. The main thing here is to understand that we are both a source. So as we are a receiver and a repeater, and more. Whatever intention we carry within ourselves, we will project into the world.
Everything in the world is an interwave (or interinformational) interaction. And consciousness is what is capable of controlling these waves/distortions though with certain limits. Now let us apply this interpretation to the existing reality: do we see much interwave harmony? Or maybe at least a tendency for it to appear? In all the conflicts existing today (as well as far beyond them), there is no consciousness at all. We are talking about inertia. In reality, no one controls anything here. Everything just goes with the flow. The only question is where exactly will we eventually arrive?
We should turn off the social restrictions - they are all artificial - and listen more to our moral compass. Each of us definitely have our own. Existence in the system makes the moral compass sound the alarm, but instead of fixing the system, we decided to just turn down its volume. The brain is capable of learning. But nevertheless, it has its own initial «settings». They are already by default striving for something bright. Striving for good. For love. For God. Call it whatever you like (this desire can be explained from a scientific point of view: a happy organism will strive for survival much more than an unhappy one). It is just that all life experience has taught our brain the opposite. Egoism. Individualism. Following our primal instincts. But this does not mean that this path is correct. This means that we were not given alternatives. We were shown the world as it is right now. And in order to see it as it should be, then you should use your mind and empathy, be able to recognize the essence and understand the truth. And, of course, it is necessary to distinguish the wheat from the chaff.
>> Our reality depends on our leaders. Our society depends on our reality. Our leaders depend on our society. This is the spiral of our current social degradation. There are two fundamental forms of natural processes – decay and prosperity. Our society is in the process of decay. Right now, looking at reality, we are observing the process of social decomposition. Yes, it is completely natural and many people characterize it with the phrase «that’s how the world works»... while managing to completely ignore the rest (opposite) part of the no less natural process of our world order.
The process of prosperity.
This process is totally not about us. In the mind of the average person, social prosperity simply does not exist. It has never been seen and there is nothing known about it. For the perception of the overwhelming majority, prosperity is somewhere on the level of a children's fairy tale. Utopia. Fiction. Myth. However, the world is able to prosper. The problem is, we do nothing for this. We do exactly what contributes to its decay. And by analogy - the problem here is not in the nasty human nature, but in the fact that the social conditions we have created contribute to the active development of the negative part of human nature.
>> What is one of the most important life values? Gaining a variety of experiences. Well, the current system that we have does not offer any diversity. Oppositely, it imposes a uniform life model and individualism as the basis of worldview. The problem is not that nothing changes. The problem is that we do not even think about how to start changing anything. We only argue about where it is better to live. We divide everything (just as we divide everyone) into ours and others. The idea of a nation is one of the most disgusting and ugly ideas that humanity has ever been able to come up with. On a global scale, it brings discord, destruction and death. It undermines the mental health of our collective mind. The idea of a nation is a subject of social insanity. It is much more of an instrument of disunity than of unity. Nationalism, racism, sexism etc in fact are forms of mass psychosis. They can be regarded as our social manias. We have invented a whole world full of material and cultural values, successfully convinced ourselves of its uncontested reality and now we are confidently going mad in it.
Mass psychosis is a mental epidemic based on imitation and suggestibility. Mass psychosis affects a group or a collective of people. As a result a person loses the normal ability to critical thinking and the adequate way of judging, which makes a person obsessed with something (specific idea etc). Mass psychosis affects such a subject of mass forms of non-collective behavior, which is called a «crowd». Sigmund Freud put forward a very productive idea to describe the phenomenon of the crowd. He considered the crowd as a human mass under hypnosis. The most dangerous and most essential thing in crowd psychology is its susceptibility to suggestion. Any opinion, idea or belief suggested to the crowd, it accepts or rejects in its entirety and treats them either as absolute truths or as absolute delusions. Neurophysiologist Chris Frith claims that the brain can create false models of the material world.
The planet is going crazy. Literally. And for a very long time. We are all hostages of mass psychosis and if we continue to do nothing about it, then everything will only get worse. What is happening in the world today is not happening because of an excess of common sense. The world is sick.
> Permanent wars.
> The danger of an ecological catastrophe.
> The cult of consumption.
> The conflict of generations.
> Widespread depression.
> The problem of midlife crisis.
> Gender and racial conflicts.
> Daily stress.
> Regular cases of suicide among teenagers.
> The crisis of adolescence.
And these are the symptoms of the world’s illness. Let us talk about what leads to these symptoms? They are arranged in a conditional gradation from greater to lesser (not by significance, but by the evolution of the problem). Now I propose to go from the opposite:
> The crisis of adolescence is the time when the system noticeably deforms the psyche of the individual. This is the time when the child already has the strength to resist the foundations imposed on him. It's the time when hormones wake up and stress begins to be actively produced. The body enters a fight / flight state every day. But where should the teen run? And who should he beat? Classmates? Yes. This is where bullying is born, as a means of dealing with stress (some blame computer games for everything, but here it is just the opposite - games reduce stress - distract attention). Going to a stressful environment (school) is made obligatory for the child. If you do not go - you will be punished (which is even more stress in your life). And in addition to this, we take away the means of reducing stress - going outside and / or computer games. This is the standard of blatant injustice that the child absorbs from childhood. There is nothing normal in this model of life. This is Hell. The state of zugzwang. Do you understand what kind of hammer and anvil we are leaving a child between? Of course you do. We have all been through this experience. There is a way out of this situation...
> Regular cases of suicide among teenagers are a consequence of everything described above. Why does school education remain the way it is? Is that really how the world works? Is the world designed on the principle of not giving quality knowledge, but at the same time to mock the psyche in a quality way? Calling it «social adaptation»? Are we in our right minds? No… We are in the collective unconscious of the system.
> Daily stress — starting somewhere from the fifth grade and until the grave — is one permanent stressful state with wave-like intensity. That is why there are so few truly happy people in our system. Stress does not bring happiness. It has completely different tasks – in some sense, the opposite of happiness.
> Gender and racial conflicts — all this is related to the problem of crooked upbringing and no less crooked education.
> The problem of midlife crisis — living in permanent stress, a person, as a rule, sooner or later still asks the question: «why do I live like this?» But there is no answer to it, because a person does not even understand the nature of this question, which is why he is basically unable to correctly formulate it. The correct formulation would sound something like this: «why does the system make me live like this?» And now you can find an answer to this question. I have described it in this book.
> Widespread depression — the reasons are described above.
> The conflict of generations - well, the youth does not want to live by conservative principles. This is natural. They have already formed a different idea of the world and their place in it. And the influence of conformists only continues to break them. Children need to be helped to find themselves, but not forced to strictly conform to social expectations. We (who call ourselves adults) have already been through some of this trash in our lives. And now, instead of reaching an agreement and properly cleaning up all this trash, we grab children by the hand and drag them along the same path by force. In our sick conviction, this should teach them life… The sins of fathers fall on the heads of their children - this is not the most correct formulation. The mistakes of fathers fall on the heads of children - this is a more correct form. If the first option is perceived as somewhat unfair, the second one already has a clear pattern leading to negative consequences. Today we continue to reap the mistakes of our ancestors and fathers. It is these errors that afflict the entire modern world and its suffering is reflected in all mankind in one way or another. It is almost impossible not to notice, but it is quite possible even just to close your eyes. Say, «this is beyond our area of competence». This is how mental blindness begins. It is not only harmful, but also catastrophic and contagious. It is also very easy to get used to and live as if nothing really happened. It is a mental paralysis.
> The cult of consumption is an imposed norm. If making money is the goal of society, then the cult of consumption is its natural consequence.
> The danger of an ecological catastrophe is a consequence of the cult of consumption.
> Permanent wars are the culmination of all of the above. A society brought up on psychological and/or physical violence (even if it is not obvious, it is so), the purpose of which is money, resources, personal gain - will naturally be at odds throughout its history. In one form or another.
> Permanent wars.
> The danger of an ecological catastrophe.
> The cult of consumption.
> Conflict of generations.
> Widespread depression.
> The problem of midlife crisis.
> Gender and racial conflicts.
> Daily stress.
> Regular cases of suicide among teenagers.
> Adolescence crisis.
It is all one same problem and same disease: DISGUSTING SOCIAL ORGANIZATION. None of the modern politicians are able to work properly on it. The problems I have described will not be solved for us (instead of us, neither). There are no people responsible for this. We have not invented them. Neither have we trained them or even created them. They are not in management positions. Today's political school is outdated. Furthermore, it is what brought us to the point where we are now. Therefore, education does more harm than good. We can no longer follow this flow. At best, it leads us nowhere. But most likely, this is the path to a waterfall. And the closer to it, the faster. Our main problem is that we do not recognize ourselves as part of a single whole. Each of us considers himself a unique and isolated unit, but this is a delusion. We are all interconnected, and until we realize this interconnection, we will not be able to solve global problems. Instead of healing the body, we fight the symptoms of its diseases. This is not a cure. This is a palliative.
Our education system is a palliative.
Our politics is a palliative.
Our economy is a palliative.
We do not solve problems, we only disguise them, trying to make them less painful. Of course, this does not make the problems disappear. In this way, we simply learn to tolerate them. The world has been turned into a corral, where everyone copies each other's behavior and, as a result, many are left on their own. It all starts with the education system (in which any collective cooperation is simply absent) and is further escalated. The principle of «man is a wolf to man» begins to dominate, while the principle of «love thy neighbor» is suppressed. The more water flows into one vessel, the less it remains in the second. The more hatred, the less love. And this is quite our case: the system disfigures the consciousness of children, and as they grow up, they begin to disfigure the unconscious of the system. A snake devouring its own tail will sooner or later bite off its own neck. Everything is fair and natural. How many are ready to oppose this trend today? A global reform of all educational institutions is the simplest, most obvious and necessary step for the further transformation of our entire society. Without it, any other actions will be largely useless, especially in the long run. This is the minimum that must be demanded and defended. Children are the future. Problematic education will inevitably lead to a problematic future. Today's parents need to realize that the existing educational system is unacceptable. It cripples mental health and deforms the psyche of children. Our own life experience is proof of this. It is necessary to create a new educational base. The existing school curriculum is outdated by about fifty years.
A person, due to his limited perception, is not able to understand reality as it is. A glass can break in an infinite number of ways, but remain whole in only one way. Therefore, our perception, in essence, breaks the «glass» of objective reality, thus creating a subjective reality. The fragments are a kind of prism through which we view and learn the world. However, the main trap of perception is not even this: society can develop in many different directions, but it develops in only one. In the urgent. This is the only one we see. We call this direction «objective reality». None of us knows the other. Is it the only true one? Of course not. Objective reality is just one of the fragments of truth. The truth lies in integrity. In the totality of all its fragments. The incompleteness of our own life experience prevents us from understanding the truth. We are literally blinkered by it.
A person is always sure of what he does.
This is our curse.
>> We have built our world on a very unstable foundation. That's why it's falling apart. Some might say that I am brazenly turning reality inside out... but maybe we were all born in an inside-out reality? Let us think about how history can answer this question. It is obvious that none of us were taught to think in the context of global problems, but this only means that it is time to learn to think independently. While the Titanic is still afloat.
Our history is determined by our thinking.
We don't have to think about the fact that nothing will change.
We have to think about how to change everything.
Go beyond the usual, but extremely problematic patterns.
The modern political, economic, educational system is a Leviathan that needs to be tamed.
Otherwise it will continue to devour us.
>> Imagine that your whole life is a role. A role for which you have prepared very well. You have delved into the essence of your character and immersed yourself in all its problems. You have experienced every moment of life as if it were your own. You have played everything brilliantly, exactly as it was expected of you. Have you imagined it? And right now they tell you - Stop! Cut! Now you can get out of the role. Now you can become yourself. That is it. There is no longer any need to be who you have been all your life. The work is done. You can go. You are free. Feel all this freedom on yourself. What would you do with it next? What would you think? What would you see if you looked at yourself from the outside? Did you like this whole game? We, people, have long been lost in ourselves and we need to admit it. Today is a product of human hands. Our hands. Until you realize your involvement, until you want to fix everything with your own hands - it is better to close your eyes. Sleep. You are not mature yet.
But if you are ready, wake up. We are all in trouble. The world is approaching a bifurcation point. Give up illusions and take the situation seriously. Share this information at least with your circle. History has made it absolutely clear that one should not decide for everyone. The more people are involved, the faster we will be able to move things forward and the faster a common goal will be formed (the goal, on which the collective unconscious of our social organism will be able to focus). There will be no simple and quick solutions. It is necessary to agree on a paradigm shift. Discussion of the issues raised should become the subject of open public debate, and only then will we be able to begin making competent, balanced, adequate decisions. We should look into the future with a gaze clear of individualism. It is the same for everyone, for each of us. I hope for your support. I hope for your consciousness.
