Probability and Statistics (UMA401) is a one-semester, upper-level course that provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental principles of probability and statistical inference. The course covers key concepts such as probability theory, random variables, probability distributions, expectation, sampling distributions, estimation, and hypothesis testing. Emphasis is also placed on applying these concepts to analyze real-world data and solve practical problems. Students will gain hands-on experience by implementing statistical algorithms using R programming. The course credit are 4.0 (3 Lectures and 1 Lab). (October 05, 2026) The evaluated answer sheets for the Mid-Term Examination will be shown to students on October 07, 2026, starting at 5:00 PM in Room T 101. Each group will have a 15-minute slot. The schedule is as follows:
W11: 5:00–5:15 PM, W12: 5:15–5:30 PM, W13: 5:30–5:45 PM, W14: 5:45–6:00 PM.
