About BASK The Bhutanese Association in South Korea (BASK) is a closely-knit community comprised of Bhutanese students, family members, and well-wishers. As a symbol of respect and unity, every Bhutanese arrival in South Korea is cordially invited and expected to participate in the Association, at least as a member. The diplomatic relations between Bhutan and South Korea were formally established on September 24th, 1987. Since then, South Korea has emerged as a beloved destination for many Bhutanese to pursue their aspirations, study, work, and establish a new home away from home. Its resplendent multiculturalism is widely acclaimed, and as the Bhutanese integrate into this beautiful country, we firmly uphold the Association's noble vision to uphold and preserve our own cultural heritage and traditions, while also integrating and harmonizing with other communities and cultures.

Every Bhutanese arrival in South Korea is warmly welcomed and encouraged to participate in BASK's activities, as they strive towards the core vision of fostering a happy and united Bhutanese community. In addition, BASK organizes various events and functions that involve its members and assists newcomers to settle in by providing guidance and support.
