As a current research staff at a South Korean company, having completed my degree four years ago, I am keen to share my valuable experiences regarding the associations or clubs I was fortunate enough to be a part of during my university days. These opportunities have played a pivotal role in shaping my personality and expanding my horizons by introducing me to extraordinary individuals. I highly encourage you to contemplate joining the following organizations:
ISF — International Student Fellowship
ISF is an exceptional student fellowship association that provides valuable support to international students who are studying in South Korea. They offer a wide range of programs, including Korean language classes, medical checkups, mentorship pairings, and more, and all of these programs are provided completely free of charge. In addition to these essential services, ISF also offers competitive programs like Asian Leadership, Hi-Five Korea, and Young Diplomacy, which provide participants with invaluable experiences. These events are usually hosted in breathtaking locations outside of Seoul, providing an opportunity for participants to explore and appreciate different parts of South Korea. ISF also takes care of participants by organizing these events in luxurious five-star hotels, where attendees are provided with complimentary lodging and buffet meals. After the event, participants are awarded a certificate and a modest cash reward, which can be particularly advantageous when looking for employment. Additionally, ISF provides scholarships, so it's advisable to check their website frequently to take advantage of these opportunities.

Funday
Funday is another association that assists foreigners in Korea. They offer many free trips, k-pop concerts, cultural experiences, and more. Most of what they do is free or available at a minimal cost. If you want to visit Dokdo Island, go cruising in Hangang, or wear a hanbok, Funday is your one-stop shop. One of the best organizations I've come across. Check out their website below.

Wow Korea
Although I haven't had the chance to participate in this program myself, I've heard from friends that it's an incredibly fascinating experience that provides a unique opportunity to meet students from other universities. The program takes you on a journey to remote yet historically significant places in South Korea. It's similar to Funday, but it's a government-initiated expedition. From what I've heard, it's one of the best programs available. If you're interested, be sure to check out the link below for more information.

( While there are many organizations to choose from, I have found these to be the most reliable and rewarding. By attending just one trip, you can make lifelong connections and unlock countless new opportunities for exploration and growth. So why not take the first step and give it a try? : )

KIIP, which stands for Korean Immigration and Integration Program, is an excellent initiative that provides free Korean language classes to expatriates residing in South Korea. Upon successful completion of the KIIP courses, individuals can earn points towards obtaining the F-2-7 Permanent Residency visa. To get started with KIIP, you need to take the Level Test or be placed in Level 0.

KT phones or sim cards have better Wi-Fi reception than others.
Yongsan is a hub for electronics shopping, and it's recommended to bargain well when shopping for phones to get reasonable prices.
Daiso is a budget-friendly store that offers products of good quality. It is often referred to as a "one-dollar store" due to the low prices, so you can shop for a lot of items without breaking the bank.
