"A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops." – Henry Adams
Teacher’s Day is more than just a tradition—it is a tribute to the invaluable role that educators play in shaping minds and guiding futures. Celebrated on September 5th in honor of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, this day recognizes the dedication, wisdom, and inspiration that teachers bring into our lives. It is a moment for students to express gratitude, reflect on the lessons imparted, and step into the shoes of their mentors, even if just for a day.
In school, this celebration often takes a lively turn, with students becoming teachers for a day, conducting classes, and experiencing firsthand the responsibility and joy of teaching. However, in our department, we bring this tradition into the digital space through Virtual Teacher’s Day. It is a heartfelt and creative way to honor our professors. Students come together to prepare a video lecture, followed by an engaging quiz based on it, making the event both interactive and memorable. As a token of appreciation, e-certificates are also presented to everyone who attempts the quiz.
This page captures the essence of our Virtual Teacher’s Day, where tradition meets technology in a celebration of knowledge, mentorship, and appreciation.
