INFORMATION

• 2 people, 50 min.

• Test and build a hovercraft PRIOR to the competition

CRITERIA:

• Hovercraft must be self-propelling LEVITATING vehicle that can move down a track

• MUST fit within a 40x40x40 cm cube, including skirt

• Up to TWO motors for propellers: up to 12V batteries, LITHIUM and LEAD batteries are BANNED

• Permitted Electrical Equipment: 

  • 12V batteries

  • wires

  • motors

  • manually operated switches

  • resistors

  • Potentiometers (Rheostats)

  • capacitors

  • fans

  • blowers

• Shielding of 3/8 inches around device

• Dowel of minimum 0.25 inches: within 5 cm of front edge, at least 20 cm above lowest part of vehicle
