Superintendent Michael Prayor
Brooklyn South: Districts 17, 18, 20, 21, and 22
Dr. Michael Prayor started his career as a special education teacher and spent time as an assistant principal before becoming the principal of a Brooklyn High School. He was named the Superintendent of Brooklyn South in 2014. Michael has also dedicated his time to engaging with families and parent leaders, serving as the Superintendent liaison to the Citywide Council on High Schools.

Dr. Rushell White has over 20 years of experience in public education, with deep roots in New York City Public Schools. She attended schools, taught and served in many different capacities. Most recently, Rushell served as deputy superintendent of Brooklyn North High Schools.

Fred Walsh has been serving New York City schools for over 25 years. He started his career as a high school teacher in Brooklyn and Manhattan, later serving as an assistant principal and principal. Fred also worked as a coach for other school leaders and school staff before becoming the High School Superintendent for CUNY and Urban Assembly in 2014.

Dr. Keisha McCoy began her career in New York City Schools as a teacher in a District 75 school. She has worked as an assistant principal in New York City Public Schools and outside of New York City. She also served as a District 75 principal before moving to the District 75 central team. She began her role as the interim acting Superintendent of District 75 in October 2025.

Glenda Esperance has over 20 years of experience in New York City Schools. She began her career as a special education teacher before moving on to other roles in schools, including general education teacher, literacy coach, assistant principal and principal. She served as a Director of School Quality and most recently, the Director of Special Education in South Brooklyn, before becoming the District 79 Superintendent.

Nicholas Marinacci, has been serving New York City Public Schools for nearly 30 years. He has served as Principal, Executive Principal, and founder of multiple innovative school programs, including schools serving justice-involved youth.
