The default graduation plan for BHS students is the Foundation High School Program with Distinguished Level of Achievement. This plan requires 26 credits and prepares students for college, career or military opportunities upon graduation.

Required STAAR EOC Tests: English I, English II, Biology, Algebra I, and US History
In addition to meeting graduation credit requirements, students are required to pass five end-of-course (EOC) tests to earn a diploma from a Texas public high school. Those five tests are given when a student takes English I and II, Biology, Algebra I, and U.S. History.

Students are in a cohort based on the year they entered ninth grade and the expected year of graduation. Grade classification occurs annually based on the number of credits earned toward graduation and cohort year.

Foundation Plan with an Endorsement
Students are not required to complete Algebra II as one of their math courses. However, not successfully completing Algebra II can impact some college admissions and certain sources of financial aid.
