How much does prom cost? For any junior, senior, or date the cost of a prom ticket is $75.00. Tickets will be available for purchase beginning August through the beginning of March. Date tickets for underclassmen and non-BHS students are also available on mypaymentsplus

I am technically classified as a Sophomore but I earned enough credit for Junior status after Fall Semester and I will graduate at the end of next year. Can I come to the Prom? Yes. Just have your guidance counselor e-mail Mr. Mahaffey to let her know of your change in credits. Pay for a ticket and you are all set to come to the Prom!
Do I have to pay more if my date doesn't go to BHS? No, the cost for a date (non-BHS student or underclassmen) is still $75.
Do I have to pay more if my date is a freshman or sophomore at BHS? No, the cost for an underclassmen is $75 too.
Can you explain date tickets? Date tickets can be purchased by any Junior or Senior that has already purchased a ticket for themselves. Each eligible Junior or Senior is entitled to 1 date ticket. Seniors are not to buy tickets for other Seniors even if they are your date. To purchase a date ticket, select the date ticket section on mypaymentsplus. All dates must be 20 years of age or younger to be admitted into BHS prom. A form must be filled out for ALL non-berkmar guests. See Below
What if I bought a ticket and then decide not to go? Unfortunately, prom tickets are non-refundable,, as stated when you purchased the ticket. We can try to sell it for you. There is a $10 transfer fee for name changes and transfers.
Is it OK to come to the Prom solo? Each year, the majority of students who purchased tickets did so with groups of friends instead of a specific date!
What if I have a fine? Your prom ticket will be withheld until you clear all fines with the school. This includes media center and textbook.
Is there a dress code for the Prom? Yes. This is a formal event and the attire should reflect the formality of the event. See previous page
Do I need my ID and ticket to get into Prom? Yes. You need a valid picture ID (school ID, driver's license, passport, etc.) to enter prom. The name on the ID must match the name on the back of the ticket. We will have a list at the door if you forget your ticket. Having your ticket makes check-in faster.
Once I enter Prom, can I leave and come back in? No. When you enter Prom you will be given a bracelet. When you are ready to leave the bracelet will be cut off and you will not be a loud to re-enter.
Will there be chaperones at the Prom? Absolutely. There is a very visible adult presence at the Prom. This always includes uniformed Gwinnett Police Officers, BHS administrators, and BHS teachers/staff.
Will food be available at the Prom? Proof of the Pudding is the exclusive caterer and will provide light refreshments and snacks that include sweet snacks, finger foods, veggies; and beverages such as water and punch. Students are incouraged to go out to eat before prom.
What type of entertainment will be at the Prom? Entertainment will provided by Spectrum Entertainment.
I'm picking my child up after the Prom, what time should I be there? The prom is over at 11:00pm. Please arrive no later than 11:00pm.
Does BHS sponsor any sort of after prom function? No. Many families host after-parties for their student but BHS does not sponsor an after party. Please note that once you leave prom, you will not be allowed back into prom. Once you leave, you cannot come back.
When can I pick up my ticket? Ticket distribution will be in the commons by the new gym lobby during all lunch periods on "B" days on March 22nd, 28th, and 30th. You must have your photo ID, Senior Dues Receipt, and Prom Ticket Receipt to pick up your ticket. You must pick up a physical ticket to enter prom.
Can a parent or friend pick up a student's prom ticket? No. Students must pick up their individual ticket and show their photo ID. This is for security purposes. Please come during all lunch periods on "B" days on March 22nd, 28th, and 30th to pick up your ticket. You must also have your photo ID. No tickets will be given to parents.
When is next year's Prom? Prom is always the last Saturday of April.
