Special Recognition Event at the BHS Homecoming Football Game Just Added
The day of our reunion, September 15, 2023, is BHS Homecoming. Our class will be recognized in the pregame festivities! Class members are invited to the game to be recognized as a group.
Please assemble on the track by the US flagpole at 4:30 p.m. (it's a 5:00 p.m. game). Our class will be officially recognized on the field prior to the national anthem.
The Class of 1973 will be pre-approved on the pass list, so there is no fee. Enter through the home gate, "Pass Gate" and identify yourself as a member of the Class of 1973.
There is no reserved seating if you want to stay for part of the game.
Remember the gathering at Turtle's 1890 Social Centre in Shakopee starts at 6:00 p.m. If you haven't registered for the gathering, you can come and pay $75 at the door.
School Tour Information
You are invited to addend a tour of BHS on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. If you wish to attend, please signup at the reunion event at Turtles the night before.
We will gather in the Cafeteria at 10:00 a.m. for a short presentation by Kathy Funston, Director of Strategic Partnerships and Pathways, School District 191. Tour will follow. Enter Door 5 and proceed straight to the Cafeteria (see map below).

Lodging for the Reunion
We have secured a limited number of Rooms at the Hampton Inn, Shakopee (4175 Dean Lakes Blvd., Shakopee, MN 55379). The rate for reunion attendees is $135/night for September 14 and 15, 2023. There are King and Double Queen rooms reserved. All rooms have microwaves and refrigerators, come with Hot Hampton Breakfast Buffet as well as Wi-Fi. The hotel is in a very convenient location off Hwy 169 with restaurants and shops within walking distance. Pool and 24-hour fitness on site as well. Housekeeping by request. We need your help in spreading the word and updating our information.

In almost 50 years a lot has changed. With the 1994 fire at the high school, the way people move around, life events and new retirement homes, we no longer have an accurate all inclusive class list with which to contact people about a reunion.
So in an effort to contact as many people as possible we're resorting to technology. We have a FaceBook BHS Class of 1973 group page (click here to join) which we created prior to the 45 year union and we have a class email at bhs.braves1973@gmail.com.
As some people have turned away from Facebook or check it rarely we find it necessary to add a website to our repertoire of reunion tools.
What we need you to do is to help us spread the word and update your information. Join the group, share this website and the group page to all of your classmates. As I've done for the last couple of reunions, I'll be listing our 50th on all of the free sites I can find.
I've created this "crude" website specifically for the upcoming 50th reunion and am trying to duplicate items from the Group Page to here for those not on FaceBook.
