Black Hole Shadow
Prof. Luciano Rezzolla is an Italian professor of relativistic astrophysics and numerical relativity at the Goethe University Frankfurt. His main field of study is the physics and astrophysics of compact objects such as black holes and neutron stars.
Gravitational Waves and Their Implications for Black Hole and Neutron Star Physics
Prof. Bose is at IUCAA and Science Lead of the LIGO-India Project.
He is a member of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration (LSC) Council and the LSC sub-committee of the Indian Initiative in Gravitational wave Observations (IndIGO).
Currently his main research interests are gravitational waves, relativistic astrophysics, and cosmology.
Prof. Arun is a physicist working on various aspects related to compact objects (such as neutron stars and black holes). Currently he is a professor in Physics at the Chennai Mathematical Institute.
Prof. Rajesh Kumble Nayak is a faculty member of Department of Physical Sciences at IISER-Kolkata. He mainly works in the area of gravitational wave data analysis, general theory of relativity and relativistic astrophysics.
Prof. Rana Adhikari is an experimental physicist with interests in fundamental physics including tests of gravity and quantum mechanics. His group focuses on techniques for precision measurement as related to gravitational wave detection, measurements of short scale gravity, and bounds on quantum mechanics at the macroscopic scale using precision opto-mechanics.
Physics of Black Hole Accretion
Prof. Bhattacharyya is in the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics in TIFR, Mumbai, India. He is the principal investigator of soft X-ray telescope of Astrosat Space Mission.
Observing Hawking Radiation
Prof. Lochan is in the Physics department of IISER Mohali, India. His main area of expertise is quantum effects in non-trivial classical backgrounds.
