MagSafe Power Bank — Personal Project (Ongoing)

Problem: No MagSafe-compatible power bank existed under 18mm at time of design 

• 18mm thickness target set by tolerance stack-up across PCB, battery cell, thermal layer, and housing walls

• PC/ABS over ABS — better thermal resistance and impact toughness at reduced wall thickness

• Acrylic rear overlay — optical clarity and scratch resistance over painted plastic for premium feel

• Magnet array sized to hit MagSafe alignment force spec within a 2mm depth budget

• Tolerance stack-up validated 18mm achievable without non-standard components

Current status: Finalizing PCB layout and material selection ahead of full prototype build.
