Welcome to Bharchar ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Bharchar may collect, how we use and protect that information, how long we retain it, and how you can request deletion of your account and associated data when you use the Bharchar mobile application ("App").
This Privacy Policy is intended to provide transparency regarding our data practices and to address applicable privacy and data-protection requirements, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), applicable provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and Google Play policies.

2. Information We Collect
We collect and process information that is necessary to provide Bharchar's gameplay, account, multiplayer, leaderboard, and cloud-synchronization features.
A. Information You Provide Through Google Sign-In
If you choose to sign in using Google, we may receive and process:
• Display name, which may be used as your in-game player name
• Google email address, for authentication and account identification
• Google account identifier or subject identifier (googleSub)
• Profile avatar or profile image URI, where provided by Google and used for your in-game profile
We use this information to authenticate your account and provide account-related features.
B. Guest or Local Accounts
If you choose to play without signing in, Bharchar may create a local anonymous player identifier and player name.
Guest gameplay does not require you to provide a personal email address or Google account credentials.
C. Gameplay and Account Data
Depending on the features you use, we may store:
• Player level and XP
• Wins, losses, and draws
• Total matches played
• Mills formed
• Pieces captured
• Win streaks
• Virtual coins or in-game currency
• Unlocked boards, pieces, themes, and other game items
• Daily reward claim information
• Match history
• In-game messages or mail
• Friends and friend requests
• Multiplayer and matchmaking information
• Leaderboard information
D. Technical and App-Related Information
Bharchar may process certain technical information required for the App to function, including:
• Internet connectivity status
• Information necessary to maintain online multiplayer connections
• Online presence status, such as whether you are online or participating in a match
• Locally stored audio, vibration, and other app preferences
We do not intentionally collect information that is not necessary for the functionality of the App.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information for the following purposes:
Game Progress and Cloud Synchronization
To save and synchronize your game progress, statistics, unlocked items, virtual currency, and other account-related information through Google Firebase and Cloud Firestore.
Online Multiplayer
To provide matchmaking, synchronize gameplay actions, maintain multiplayer sessions, and display relevant online status information.
Leaderboards and Social Features
To display leaderboard information and provide features such as friends, friend requests, and other social gameplay functionality.
Account Authentication
To authenticate users who choose to sign in with Google and securely associate their game account with their authentication information.
Security and Fair Gameplay
To help protect the App against cheating, fraudulent activity, abuse, unauthorized access, and other activity that may affect the security or fairness of the game.
App Functionality and Improvement
To maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the functionality and reliability of Bharchar.
4. Third-Party Services
Bharchar uses third-party services to provide certain authentication, cloud-storage, and gameplay functionality.
Google Sign-In / Google Identity Services
Google Sign-In is used to authenticate users who choose to sign in with Google.
Firebase and Google Cloud
We use Google Firebase and related Google Cloud services, including Cloud Firestore, for cloud data storage and synchronization, multiplayer-related data, leaderboard information, and other backend functionality.

Third-party services may process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable terms.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third-party advertisers or data brokers.
5. Data Sharing
We may share or provide access to information with service providers that are necessary to operate Bharchar, such as Google services and Firebase/Google Cloud services.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
Information displayed through public game features, such as leaderboards or player profiles, may be visible to other Bharchar users depending on the features and settings available in the App.
6. Your Privacy and Data Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal data, including rights relating to access, correction, deletion, and grievance redressal.
You may also be able to update certain profile information, such as your display name or avatar, through the App.

7. Account and Data Deletion
Bharchar provides users with a way to request deletion of their account and associated data.
In-App Deletion
If the feature is available in your version of the App:
1. Open Bharchar.
2. Open Settings.
3. Select "Delete Account (7 Days Grace)".
4. Confirm the deletion request by selecting "Delete (7 Days)".
External Deletion Request
If you cannot access the App, you can request account and associated data deletion by contacting:

Please include enough information for us to identify and verify the relevant account.
What Happens After a Deletion Request
After a deletion request is submitted:
1. Your account may be hidden from public leaderboards, matchmaking, and other applicable social features.
2. The account may enter a 7-day deletion grace period, if this feature is enabled in the App.
3. During the grace period, you may be able to cancel the deletion request by signing back into the same account.
4. After the applicable deletion period has expired, the account and associated data scheduled for deletion will be permanently deleted from our active systems.
Data that may be deleted can include:
• Player profile information
• Gameplay statistics
• Match history
• Friends and friend requests
• In-game messages and mail
• Account-related Google authentication mappings
• Other data associated with the account
Where applicable law requires certain information to be retained, such information may be retained only for the period and purpose required by law or for legitimate security, fraud-prevention, or compliance purposes.
8. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App's services and maintain your account.
For active accounts, gameplay and account information may be retained while the account remains active.
When an account deletion request is completed, information associated with the account will be deleted from our active systems, subject to any information that we are legally required or legitimately permitted to retain.
Locally stored information, such as app preferences and local cache, may be removed when you clear the App's data or uninstall the App.
9. Children's Privacy
Bharchar is not knowingly intended to collect personal information from children in violation of applicable laws.
If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child in circumstances where such collection is not permitted, we will take reasonable steps to address and delete the information where required.

10. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
Data transmitted between the App and applicable cloud services may be protected using encrypted connections such as HTTPS/TLS.
Firebase and Google Cloud services are protected using security mechanisms provided by Google, together with applicable Firebase security rules and our application-side controls.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Bharchar, our data practices, applicable laws, or third-party services.
When we make changes, we will update the Last Updated date shown at the beginning of this Privacy Policy.
