I am Bharatram Rangarajan, a PhD student at the Einstein Institute of Mathematics. I am being supervised jointly by Prof.Alex Lubotzky and Dr.Ori Parzanchevski. At a research level, I work in geometric group theory; more specifically group cohomology, lattices in Lie groups, theory of buildings, and expansion in groups. More broadly, I'm interested in algebraic topology, Lie algebras, representation theory, and combinatorics.

Prior to this, I completed my masters degree in computer science at Tel Aviv University under the supervision of Prof. Amnon Ta-Shma. My undergraduate studies, in mathematics and computer science, was done at the Chennai Mathematical Institute, India.
