Welcome to my personal website!
I am a PhD Researcher at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence, Italy. My research interests include macroeconomic uncertainty, monetary policy, inflation dynamics, time-series forecasting, and the application of big data and machine learning to central banking.
I am currently on leave from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), where I worked as a Senior Economist (Assistant General Manager) in the Research Department from 2017 to 2025. In this role, I was primarily responsible for providing analytical assessments of the global economic and financial outlook and associated risks to the Bank’s leadership. I also conducted policy-oriented research on international issues of strategic relevance to the RBI’s mission.
I hold a Master’s degree in Economics from the Madras School of Economics, Chennai, and an undergraduate degree in Economics from the Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi. I have previously worked at Fidelity Investments and served as a Research Assistant to the late T. N. Srinivasan, Professor Emeritus at Yale University.
