I am a Senior Economist (Assistant General Manager) at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). I am primarily tasked with providing an analytical assessment of outlook and risks emanating from global economic and financial developments to the Bank's leadership. I also conduct policy-oriented research on international issues of relevance to the RBI’s mission.
My research interest include macroeconomic uncertainty, monetary policy, inflation dynamics, time-series forecasting and application of big data and machine learning for central banking.
I hold a Masters degree in Economics from the Madras School of Economics, Chennai, India and an undergraduate degree in Economics from the Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University, New Delhi. I have previously worked at Fidelity Investments and as a Research Assistant to Late Prof. T. N. Srinivasan, Professor Emeritus, Yale University.
