Bhabani Shankar Dey

About me

I am currently working as an Assistant Professor (Research) in the School of Electrical Engineering, VIT Vellore. Prior to that, I worked as a postdoctoral fellow with Prof. Pushpak Jagtap at Formal Control and Autonomous Systems (FOCAS) lab, Robert Bosch Centre for Cyber Physical Systems, IISc Bangalore. At IISc, I worked towards safe and stable Human Robot Collaboration. I completed my PhD in Control & Automation, Electrical Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. I broadly worked in Control theory and applications with Prof. Indra Narayan Kar.  My work was based on incremental stability analysis of non-linear systems, especially in the context of switched systems. Stability is a cardinal aspect of nonlinear systems and becomes crucial in large-scale interconnected systems. My research is more or less inclined toward the stability of large-scale interconnected systems with unknown dynamics.
