Mission Statement:
The Mission Statement of the Beech Grove Girls Softball Affiliation, Inc. (BGGSA) is to implant firmly in the youth of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and reverence, so they will be well adjusted, stronger and happier youth and will grow to be good, decent, healthy and trustworthy adults.
Achievement of Objective:
To achieve the objective, the BGGSA will provide a supervised program of competitive softball games under the rules and policies of USA Softball. All directors, officers and members shall bear in mind that the attainment of exceptional athletic skill or the winning of games is secondary, and the molding of future adults is of prime importance.
Tax Exempt Purpose:
The purpose of BGGSA will be limited to the achievement of objective as listed in our Objective; and will not expressly empower the organization to engage, otherwise than as an insubstantial part of its activities, in activities that themselves are not in furtherance of the objective; and provide that BGGSA’s assets must be dedicated to the objective, either by an express provision in its governing instrument or by operation of law.
