What is the main purpose of your event? What do you hope your audience gets from it?
Determine your reach: Who do you want to reach with your event? What might attract this audience?
Decide on timing: When does your paid online event start? How long will it last? Remember that it takes time to build up an audience during a broadcast.
Set expectations: Be clear with event attendees about what they can expect and what they should prepare in advance.
They're not limited by location.
Once you've decided what the goal and who the audience of your event is, make a plan for how you'll let people know about it.
We recommend promoting your event at least one to two weeks before it happens so you can share it with your audience in time. There are a number of ways to promote your event and reach your audience to help make it a success.
Start with the people you know.
Send an email to your mailing list to promote your event. Add information about the event to your website and outgoing emails.
Post on your Facebook Page.
Let your Page followers know about the event. You can also ask followers to help you raise awareness and share the event with their communities.
Cross-promote your event.
Post on other channels to let people know about your upcoming event, including Facebook Groups, other social media accounts, your website and your newsletter.
Create exclusive posts.
Create exclusive posts to reach registered guests and communicate important information to them in addition to giving them something to react to after they purchase access.
Send free admission.
Send complimentary admission to select guests, such as friends or top fans, to build your audience and help promote your event.
Expand awareness with event ads.
Event ads increase your event presence on Facebook, allowing you to expand awareness about your event. You can create event ads in Meta Ads Manager or from boosting an event on your Page.
