Be a Change for Good
The best way to be an ally for Neurodiversity is to be inclusive and accepting of NeuroMinorities. To see that those with minority divergent minds are capable, creative and valued members of society. In this way, the environment that we employers, teachers, parents and friends create will seek to support a positive experience and reward individual insights. Disabled people have a lot to offer the world; from their authenticity to their talent!
As a disabled person, expanding your self-awareness and life skills can help you achieve more. To learn about the world through developing life skills, we NeuroMinorities can present our best selves. We can show our mistakes and take the time to understand ourselves and others. If we truly, deeply and with utter kindness and compassion understand, then there is no room for division and hate. As disabled people, it can be difficult to love and care for ourselves when the world is constantly saying “you are not enough”. But taking the time to develop skills, to ‘find our tribe’ and share in meaningful discussions can bridge any divide.
