Directed by Jitu Parna Das, the film delves into the theme of how seemingly trivial habits can have life-altering consequences. The story centers around Roopa, a young girl who casually discards strands of her hair, unaware of the impending danger her actions will cause. This innocent act leads to a catastrophic incident involving Binod, a government school teacher, illustrating the film's message that ignorance of small matters can lead to devastating outcomes.
With its powerful narrative and compelling direction, Aaokaan captured the attention of both audiences and critics, earning the prestigious Best Short Film Award at the Behala International Film Festival in Kolkata.
