About Beyond the Lab Careers
Beyond the Lab Careers was created to help graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career scientists successfully transition from academia into industry careers.
Many talented scientists struggle to communicate the value of their research experience to industry employers. Having successfully navigated that transition myself, I understand the challenges of translating highly technical expertise into language that resonates with hiring managers and recruiters.
My goal is to help bridge that gap through practical career guidance, resume development, interview preparation, and professional positioning. By helping scientists effectively communicate their skills, accomplishments, and potential, I aim to empower them to build meaningful and rewarding careers beyond academia.
I am an R&D leader, materials scientist, and innovation strategist with a Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry and extensive experience in technology assessment, advanced materials, product development, and technology commercialization.
Throughout my career, I have worked at the intersection of scientific innovation and business impact, helping transform complex technical concepts into practical solutions and commercially relevant technologies. My experience spans research and development, emerging technology evaluation, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic decision-making in industrial environments.
Through Beyond the Lab Careers, I help graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career scientists confidently communicate their accomplishments, identify career opportunities, and position themselves for long-term professional success.
My mission is simple: to help scientists and engineers transform their research experience into successful and fulfilling industry careers.
