Meet the Creator—Dr. Chioma Vivian Okafor

Hi, I'm Dr. Vivian Okafor, a Doctor of Pharmacy graduate with a growing passion for helping pharmacy students and graduates discover career opportunities beyond the traditional pharmacy counter.

My own journey into the pharmaceutical industry began with curiosity about how medicines are made. What started as an interest in pharmaceutical manufacturing opened my eyes to the many career paths available across production, quality control, regulatory affairs, warehousing, and business development.

Through my experiences, I realized that having a pharmacy degree is one thing, but knowing where your interests, skills, and opportunities fit is another.

That's why I created Beyond the Counter Career Finder—to help students and graduates explore their strengths, discover career possibilities, and identify practical steps towards their desired careers.

My hope is that after taking this assessment, you'll have a little more clarity about yourself, a better understanding of the paths you can explore, and the confidence to take your next step.
