OVERVIEW

Beyond Research is a comprehensive Facebook advertising research toolkit that helps you analyse competitor ads and discover product opportunities through the Facebook Ad Library.

FEATURES

1. Product Research

Research Facebook products and advertisements by keywords and countries. Find trending products and analyse advertising strategies.

2. Competitor Research

Track competitors and monitor their advertising campaigns, creative strategies, and targeting approaches on Facebook.

3. Product Scanner (Beta)

Scan competitor advertisements to identify similar products and opportunities in the market.

4. Smart Copy

Automatically monitors your clipboard for Facebook Ad Library URLs and saves them for quick access.

5. Theme Toggle

Switch between light and dark modes for comfortable viewing.

INSTALLATION

1. Download the extension files

1. Open Chrome and navigate to chrome://extensions/

1. Enable "Developer mode" (top right)

1. Click "Load unpacked"

1. Select the extension folder

1. The extension icon will appear in your browser toolbar

GETTING STARTED

Authentication

1. Click the extension icon in your toolbar

1. Click "Login with Discord"

1. Authorise the extension to access your Discord account

1. Ensure you're a member of the required Discord server with appropriate role

1. Once authenticated, all features become available

Launching Features

1. Click the extension icon

1. Select either:

• Product Research - For keyword/country-based product research

• Competitor Research - For tracking specific competitors

• Product Scanner - For scanning competitor ads (Beta)

USING PRODUCT RESEARCH

1. Launch Product Research from the main hub

1. Enter keywords related to products you want to research

1. Select target countries using the country filter

1. Browse through discovered advertisements

1. Enable Smart Copy to automatically save ad URLs you copy

USING COMPETITOR RESEARCH

1. Launch Competitor Research from the main hub

1. Navigate to Facebook Ad Library

1. Find competitor pages you want to monitor

1. The extension extracts page IDs and organises competitor data

1. Track advertising patterns and creative strategies

USING PRODUCT SCANNER (BETA)

1. Launch Product Scanner from the main hub

1. Browse competitor advertisements in Facebook Ad Library

1. The scanner captures product images from ads

1. Identify similar products and market opportunities

1. Images are captured automatically from Facebook CDN

KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS & TIPS

• Back to Hub: Click the "Back to Hub" button to return to main menu

• Switch Extensions: Use the switch button to toggle between Product Research and Competitor Research

• Theme Toggle: Click the sun/moon icon to change themes

• Smart Copy: Enable in settings to auto-save copied ad URLs

TROUBLESHOOTING

Cannot Login with Discord

• Ensure you're a member of the required Discord server

• Check you have the necessary role assigned

• Clear browser cache and try again

Smart Copy Not Working

• Grant clipboard permissions when prompted

• Check Smart Copy is enabled in settings

• Ensure URLs are from Facebook Ad Library

Images Not Capturing

• Verify you're on Facebook Ad Library pages

• Check extension has web request permissions

• Reload the page and try again

Extension Not Loading

• Refresh the extension: chrome://extensions/

• Toggle the extension off and on

• Check for browser console errors

DATA & PRIVACY

• All data stored locally in your browser

• No data transmitted to external servers (except authentication)

• Discord used only for login verification

• Uninstalling removes all stored data
