Submission format
To help us select a good program, we invite the community to make suggestions for talks. Please note that this year's BIID has a different submission and selection process than in previous years. Any member of the community can participate by nominating a talk title and abstract. By nominating yourself or another speaker you indicate your/their intention to attend the workshop in person.
The application process allows uploading an optional extended abstract of up to three pages together with an optional technical manuscript without page limits. Both of these parts are optional but might help the programme committee to make a decision should we not already be aware of the work you are willing to present. There will be no formal review, but we will make it our mission to select a programme that features the most interesting research of the year, covers all the topics relevant to the conference well, and includes a broad variety of speakers. The programme committee will generally break the tie towards work that has been published on the electronic archive in the year preceding the conference.
● Extended Abstract: This should be up to three pages in length and contain a nontechnical and clear description of the results and main ideas. The page limit does not include references.
● Technical Manuscript: This is a full paper describing the work, including technical details. This is optional, and should only be uploaded if the work is not yet published on an electronic archive.
The portal for submission is already opened and located at
Please note that the submission works in two steps, where a single file can be uploaded only once the submission has been created using the password created during the first step.
