Hi, I'm Huiying

I am based in Singapore and began my career in the healthcare industry. Over the past 20 years, I have worked with organisations in the U.S. and across Asia, leading diverse, cross-functional teams while advising and mentoring leaders. Along the way, I have learned that success isn’t just about expertise. It's shaped by how you adapt, lead by example and unlock breakthrough performance in others.

My Journey: From Startup to Strategic Leadership

My career began with a spark of entrepreneurial curiosity. During my year-long NUS Overseas Colleges programme in the US, I was immersed in startup culture and inspired by its energy and possibilities. Shortly after graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Life Science, I joined a five-year-old healthcare company, a decision that would shape the trajectory of my career.

I grew with the organisation, taking on four distinct roles in 18 years and leading teams across seven countries in Asia. This journey allowed me to operate at both strategic and executional levels, shaping not only business outcomes but also my leadership philosophy. Key milestones include:

• Building from ground up: Started and grew a Philippines subsidiary to S$2 million revenue in just 2 years

• Pioneering innovation: Established a new Diagnostics strategic business unit and led groundbreaking partnerships with institutions like SNEC/SERI

• Delivering excellence: Led teams to achieve 5 first-time international quality accreditations across 3 countries

• Leading through crisis: Navigated the company through a critical operational crisis, working with regulatory authorities to implement enhanced quality and risk management policies and procedures to successfully resume operations

• Expanding my expertise: Earned an MBA with a specialisation in Accountancy and Finance from NTU to deepen my strategic and financial acumen

Why I Coach

After years of building teams and driving growth, I realised my greatest impact comes from empowering others to unlock their potential. I see coaching as the bridge between where people are and where they aspire to be. That belief led me to embark on an ICF-accredited coaching programme in late 2024 (read my LinkedIn post), followed by over 100 hours of coaching practice. I also successfully passed the ICF ACC exam, earning my ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential in 2025. 

In addition, I got trained in career advisory and became a Volunteer Career Advisor with Workforce Singapore in October 2025, advising job seekers or anyone who need career insights or advice or simply a source of support in his or her career journey. I am also an active mentor with Mentoring SG and Advisory Singapore.

My Vision

Through coaching, mentoring and career advisory, I aim to empower the next generation of professionals and leaders to build meaningful careers for themselves and drive positive change.
