3D Design Workflow starting from 3D CAD

3D CG software such as Blender can create 3D models and render images standalone. However, if the 3D models are not only to be in the images but also to be made into a real object, we should create the model from 3D CAD. It is because that drawings with dimension lines are necessary for manufacturing. Also, 3D CG software can draw things we cannot manufacture. Therefore, I propose a workflow in which images are created using 3D CG software based on 3D CAD data. In the workflow, dedicated renderers create higher-precision images for presentations and optical simulations. These workflows with open-source software enable merging art and manufacturing and combining art and science.
