If you want a durable, over-ear reference monitor built for long studio sessions and professional audio work, choose beyerdynamic DT 770; if you need an ultra-detailed, four-driver hybrid in-ear monitor with immersive soundstage precision for critical listening and gaming, choose HIFIXAUDIO SIMGOT SuperMix 4.
• beyerdynamic DT 770: Its greatest strength is its legendary build quality and velour ear pads designed for marathon wearability in professional environments; its biggest trade-off is the lack of isolation and its wired-only nature which limits mobility. This pick is for audio engineers, podcasters, and PC users who prioritize comfort and accuracy over portability.
• HIFIXAUDIO SIMGOT SuperMix 4: Its standout feature is the complex quad-driver architecture that delivers extreme detail and a wide frequency range from 8Hz to 40kHz; its primary trade-off is the in-ear form factor which requires a proper fit and offers passive noise cancellation rather than active isolation. This pick is for audiophiles, gamers, and mobile listeners who demand high-fidelity resolution and compact design.
The beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 80 Limited Edition is not just a pair of headphones; it is a tool built on decades of professional validation. With an impedance of 80 ohms and a sensitivity of 96 dB, this unit is engineered to be driven by professional audio interfaces or dedicated amplifiers, making it a perfect companion for a desktop PC setup where power sources are stable and abundant.
The physical design speaks directly to long-duration use. At 270 grams, it sits comfortably on the head, but the real hero here is the enclosure material and the velour ear placement. Velour is breathable, meaning your ears won't sweat during those eight-hour mixing sessions or intense gaming marathons. The over-ear shape provides a secure seal without clamping too hard, though it does not offer active noise cancellation. Instead, it relies on the mass of the ear cups to provide some passive isolation while keeping the soundstage open enough for spatial awareness. If you are looking for ear clip headphones for pc that stay comfortable all day, the DT 770's over-ear design is the industry standard for a reason.

You should buy this model if your priority is durability and a "professional" sound signature that has stood the test of time. The package includes a gold-plated screw-on adapter (3.5mm to 1/4"), ensuring compatibility with almost any pro audio gear you might connect to your computer. However, if you need something lightweight to throw in a bag, or if you require wireless freedom, this is not the right choice. It is a stationary tool for serious work and deep listening, anchored by its robust 2-year warranty when purchased from an authorized dealer.
The HIFIXAUDIO SIMGOT SuperMix 4 represents a different philosophy entirely, focusing on maximum technical performance in a miniature package. This isn't just about hearing music; it is about dissecting it. The device utilizes a unique aquad-driver hybrid system combining one dynamic driver, two balanced armature drivers, one planar driver, and one PZT transducer. This complexity allows it to cover a staggering frequency range from 8Hz to 40kHz, far exceeding the typical human hearing limit, which ensures that even the most subtle harmonics and airiness are preserved.
For the gamer or the mobile listener, the design features a translucent 3D-printed resin shell paired with a CNC-milled metal faceplate. This construction isn't just aesthetic; it suppresses standing waves inside the housing for a cleaner soundbase. The inclusion of a Litz silver-plated cable with 0.78mm 2-pin connectors suggests a focus on signal clarity and upgradeability. Unlike the heavy, over-ear DT 770, these in-ear monitors are designed for immersion. They utilize passive noise cancellation to block out ambient noise, allowing you to focus on the game or the track without external distractions.
This product is ideal for someone who wants the best ear clip headphones for pc in terms of pure fidelity but prefers the discreetness of in-ear monitors. The high sensitivity of 120 dB means it can be driven easily by standard laptop outputs or phone DACs, unlike the higher impedance beyerdynamic. You should choose the SuperMix 4 if you value intricate details, vocal articulation, and a "fatigue-free" treble experience that reveals breath textures and instrument separation. However, if you prefer the airy, open feel of over-ear cans or need to talk to people around you without removing your gear, the sealed in-ear design might feel isolating.

• Best for Open Soundstage Feel → beyerdynamic DT 770 (Over-ear design naturally spreads sound wider than IEMs).
• Best for Cable Quality & Upgrades → HIFIXAUDIO SIMGOT SuperMix 4 (Includes silver-plated Litz cable and 2-pin connectivity).
After analyzing the specifications and intended use cases, I would personally buy the HIFIXAUDIO SIMGOT SuperMix 4 for my daily PC usage. While the beyerdynamic DT 770 is an absolute titan in the world of professional audio, its weight and wired nature make it less versatile for modern workflows. The SuperMix 4 offers a level of technical detail and frequency extension that simply cannot be matched by a single dynamic driver, regardless of how good the tuning is. The quad-driver system ensures that every layer of a mix, from the deepest bass to the highest treble, is rendered with surgical precision. For a PC user who wants the best ear clip headphones for pc that double as a high-end music player, the SuperMix 4 provides a more engaging and detailed listening experience that keeps you immersed in the content.
Both models support PC gaming, but they serve different needs. The beyerdynamic DT 770 offers a wide soundstage great for directional audio in competitive shooters, while the HIFIXAUDIO SIMGOT SuperMix 4 provides superior detail for hearing footsteps and environmental cues thanks to its hybrid driver array.
The beyerdynamic DT 770 (80 ohm) will benefit significantly from a dedicated amplifier or interface to reach its full potential. The HIFIXAUDIO SIMGOT SuperMix 4 (7.2 ohm, 120dB sensitivity) is highly efficient and will sound excellent directly from a standard PC headphone jack or smartphone DAC.
The HIFIXAUDIO SIMGOT SuperMix 4 wins on isolation because its in-ear design creates a physical seal in the ear canal, offering passive noise cancellation. The beyerdynamic DT 770 is an open-back design that lets sound in and out, prioritizing acoustic naturalness over blocking the outside world.
