My name is Leah Haycox, and I am the owner of BeWell4Life bodyworks. I am a huge advocate for participating in activities to enhance overall wellness. It is important to note that wellness may manifest differently for each individual and that is acceptable. For me, wellness involves being present in all aspects/areas of life.
An area that a lot of people struggle with is managing stress and getting quality sleep. According to The American Psychiatric Association's annual mental health poll, "When asked about a list of lifestyle factors potentially impacting mental health, adults most commonly say stress (53%) and sleep (40%) have the biggest impact on their mental health." Massage Therapy promotes a healthy nervous system, which is very beneficial for combatting stress related symptoms. Physical symptoms include headaches, aches and pain in muscles caused by tension, digestive issues, etc. Emotional symptoms include, anxiety, irritability, mood swings, difficulty concentrating. Behavioral symptoms include, trouble sleeping, changes in appetite. In my opinion, letting these symptoms go unmanaged can trickle into other aspects of life.
** My approach to bodywork is integrative. What that means for you, as the client, is that I will be assessing your body's unique needs and customizing each session in order to get the best result. All bodies are different and there is no "one size fits all" when it comes to bodywork services. **
