Mr. John Billy B. Soriano is currently the Chairperson of the Social and Behavioral Sciences Department of the University of Cagayan Valley. He is also an instructor at the same university where he teaches courses in Social Science General Education like Philippine History, Life, Works and Works of Jose Rizal, and also courses in the Major Subjects like Philippine Constitution, Geography, Sociology, and Anthropology. He is also the Supervising Instructor of the Teaching Internship Experiential course. He obtained his Bachelor of Secondary Education at the University of Cagayan Valley majoring in Social Studies – Cum laude. He took up his Master of Science in Teaching Major in Social Studies at St. Paul University Philippines. He attended various seminars and workshops and the latest is the UPOU-CHED Training Program for Teachers on “Flexible Teaching and Learning: The Seamless Shift from Face-to-face to Distance Education Mode of Instruction”. His thesis during his college days was also one among the 20 theses writings presented during the “Joint Multidisciplinary Research Conference” in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. With his age, 21, he is passionate about molding the youth who chooses to be part of the noblest profession, teaching.
