The role of the Quorum Court should be leadership that builds opportunity for the residents of Garland County. Thriving communities have infrastructure and policies that open doors for individuals and support local business. Your JP should work for you.
A Justice of the Peace should be accountable to the people they serve by having open communication and transparent decision making. Reliable and trustworthy communication is the foundation of this role.
Ethical representation is the very heart of our democracy. Speaking the truth and backing words with action that is aligned with a moral compass is essential. For too long, our community has needed Justices of the Peace who are aligned with the best interest of their neighbors in Garland County.
I believe in practical solutions that make life better right here in Garland County. I see the work ethic of my friends and neighbors and know that they deserve a Quorum Court that works for them, that communicates with them, and shares the values of our local community, not pushes a divisive national agenda. Our Quorum Court should focus on the work we can do right here at home to create economic opportunities for our future.
I am a veteran educator retired from Hot Springs Public Schools, a graduate of Central High School and University of Arkansas, a wife, mother to 4 adult children, and a very proud Nana. I've believed in public service all my life, involved in HSSD Personnel Policy Committee which helped to set policy for schools and served as an avenue of communication between administration and staff. I was an attendee and community advocate at legislative meetings on Public School Employee insurance as well as Arkansas Teacher Retirement. I am honored to have been a part of the Hanamaki, Japan Teacher Exchange, the Heifer International Study Tour, the Jason Project and WILD with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
