Indanapolis, Indiana

We have been around all types of Sports Handicappers from the weekend amateur gambler, putting in their 10 Leg Parlay Lottery Ticket to the 6 figure a play sharps that move the lines. But never have we met a Handicapper quite like the one we’ve recently spent some time with in Indianapolis. He’s David Stephanoff of Follow Never Fade (www.FollowNeverFade.com). David is an enigma in the crowded Sports Handicapping scene. Never have we been around someone who can tell you about the High School career of the back up Point Guard for Northwestern State, his Play of the Day the previous day (a 12.5 point dog that won outright). And in the next breath David tells us all about a kid that was making his professional debut in the Professional Fighting League and why his sparring partner, who has never fought professionally, will be the difference in the fight. David is the rare Handicapper that is the genuine article-he lives for handicapping, researching, gambling and just watching the games. Asked what his favorite sport is and there is little hesitation on David’s part, “I’m born and raised in Indiana so you know I love Basketball. I eat, sleep and breath sports but I live for hoops”. His eyes light up talking about how he’s seen future stars like Shawn Kemp, Glen Rice and Rex Chapman play in High School gyms. Yes, that’s how long David has been imersed in sports, since Shawn Kemp was in High School.

We came with David to his local Indianapolis Sports Book at Hoosier Park before the book was even open. We walk through the casino to the Sports Book and various staff members and regulars greet David, some with a wave and some trying to get free advice from one of the best around. We asked David if he is here more than the people that work here and he replies, “I do work here my, job is to handicap and this is my office-I’m here 7 days a week. I’m always watching games, studying lines and placing bets. I watch, handicap and bet on almost every sport on the board”. And he’s not exaggerating, we were amazed when we went through his independently verified and documented 2022 record by Las Vegas Monitor.

We approached the Sports Book area and another regular jogs over to catch David before we sit down. “Hey Good morning GOAT!" he says to David and then proceeds to ask him about their home team Pacers tonight in Utah, getting 5. “I know you want to bet the Pacers tonight but never bet with your heart” David thoughtfully reminds his fan. David proceeds to give him a free gem for the day, “Actually my Play of the Day are the Jazz -5”. Shortly after this conversation David releases the Jazz -5 to his clients and goes right to the window and makes, what he begins to explain to us, is his standard “4 Unit” bet on his Play of the Day. The Jazz beat the Pacers that evening 139-119.

We have now been with David for about 4 hours and we've talked about all things sports betting. His incredible Tennis Reocrd this year, 759-358, what make it more impressive is he's hitting better than 70% on his bigger unit plays. He shows a bit of pride when he tells us about how he jumped on current #1 Mens Player, Calos Alcaraz or "Baby Goat" as he calls him, more than 2 years ago. We talked about The Breeders Cup and Final Four, both of which he attended this year. We spun through the entire sports spectrum, talking about Montana 6 Man Football to NCAA Division 2 Baseball National Champion North Greenville and how good their coaching was this year. David is definetly proving to us how seriously he takes his job and, how much effort is neccesary to consistently be a profitable Proffesional Handicapper and Gambler. And David has been doing just that for well over a decade now.

David has finished his initial picks, advised his clients and made most of his wagers for the day. He’s now ready to do his daily social media videos. These videos feature his “Free GOAT Picks” as he calls these valuable daily plays. He is known by FollowNeverFade.com and publishes a video every single day from the casino, for all social media platforms. He’s wrapping up recording his last video, which is for his near 12,000 followers on Instagram, with his factual standard sign off. “Keep it Positive or keep it moving-Have a great Friday everyone and remember Follow Never Fade.” We couldn’t agree more.
