I have been quick to share tools like Symbaloo for providing easy access to classroom links. It is a tool I love to use! However, the new Google Sites is so easy, and so flexible, that I can see it being used in a similar way. In fact, I used it to create the links and information for this presentation.
A new way to worksheet
Create online worksheets with ease! You can search for pre-created worksheets and copy them to your account. Then edit so they fit your situation perfectly!
The Global Read Aloud was created by Pernille Ripp in 2010. It has grown to include over a million participants. It's a project all about books and reading - and as a school librarian - it's one project you'll want to be involved in!
Global collaboration is necessary to show students that they are part of something bigger than them. That the world needs to be protected and that we need to care for all people. You can show them pictures of kids in other countries but why not have them speak to each other? Then the caring can begin.
The resources included in the Follett Community, particularly pertaining to our Destiny Library Software are excellent! Check these resources out! You'll want to check in often to keep up-to-date with all that's available for you here!
Screencastify is an easy, free way to capture your screen. You can instantly create videos to flip your teaching, explain a concept, teach a lesson, or demonstrate "how-to...". But my favorite reason for using Screencastify is to create a quick vido tutorial when someone has a question that is easy to answer through demonstration. It takes the place of making a visit to the person, or writing out long directions for them. Best of all, Screencastify keeps all your screencasts in Google Drive so you can re-use them any time you want.
Here are some great suggestions for using Screencastify in education: https://www.screencastify.com/education/
