Members of Instructional Change Teams observe each other teaching and debrief their observations. The ICT meets prior to the observation so the instructor can share the lesson goals and which indicators they are focusing on during instruction. Following the observation, the ICT meets again to talk about the lesson observed. An observation and discussion protocol is provided to support this work.
Download or make a copy of this Observation Form. The form includes instructions and prompts to consider before, during, and after observing your peer's course.
After the observed lesson, record the audio from your peer observation debrief conversation:
One person will open an audio recording program that is easiest for you to use (e.g., a personal Zoom meeting, or your phone’s recording app). Make sure your device has enough space to record and store the full conversation.
Press record and check it is recording.
When you finish recording, locate the audio file on your computer, cloud, or phone and upload it to the form after filling out the information about (a) the course, lesson, and instructor you observed, and (b) those who participated in the debrief.
After you submit, you will receive an email confirming your submission that is automatically generated from Google.
