Privacy Policy

Your privacy comes first.

No account. No sign-in. No personal information collected by Better Business Bureau. We use Google AdMob to show ads, which is the only third-party service in this app. This page explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your data.

1. Our Commitment to Privacy

Better Business Bureau is built around consumer trust. We designed this app so you can search trusted businesses, read reviews, and file complaints without creating an account, without signing in, and without sharing personal contact details. Protecting your privacy is the core principle of this product.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following from you:

No sign-up, login, or verification is ever required to use the app's core features.

3. Information You Choose to Submit

When you file a complaint, the only information stored is what you type into the complaint form — the business you selected, the complaint category, your written description, and (optionally) your desired resolution.

Complaints are filed anonymously. We do not attach your identity, device identifier, or any contact information to a complaint. Please do not include personal details (such as your full name, phone number, or address) inside the complaint text itself.

4. Information Stored On Your Device

Complaints you file and your browsing state are stored locally on your device only. Uninstalling the app or clearing the app's data permanently removes this information from your device.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements inside this app. AdMob is a third-party advertising service operated by Google LLC, and it is the only third-party service integrated into this app.

To serve relevant ads and measure their performance, Google AdMob and its partners may collect:

This information is collected by Google, not by us, and is governed by Google's own privacy and ad policies. You can review or change your advertising preferences at any time under: Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. From there you can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of personalized ads.

6. Cookies and Tracking

The app itself does not use browser cookies. Google AdMob may use SDK-level identifiers for ad delivery and fraud prevention, as described in the section above.

7. Network and Permissions

The app requests only the permissions it needs to function:

We do not request access to contacts, photos, microphone, camera, calendar, SMS, or precise location.

8. Data Security

Because we do not collect personal information or account credentials, there is no personal user account that can be compromised. Information you choose to submit (complaint text) stays on your device unless you explicitly share it outside the app.

9. Children's Privacy

This app is intended for general consumer use and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

10. Your Choices and Rights

Because we do not collect identifying information, there is no personal account or profile to delete on our side. You can fully reset your data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing the app's storage from your device settings.

For ad-related choices, use the controls in your device's Privacy / Ads settings.

11. Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be available within the app on this screen. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.

12. Contact Us

If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback about this Privacy Policy or about how the app handles your data, you can reach us at:
