About the team
The Brand Strategy team's expertise was organized into the following categories: brand strategy, creative strategy, program management, and brand operations. The team was small but mighty, it handled the rebranding of the company twice in 2019 and 2022.
Role
As the Brand Strategy Operations Manager at Meta, I managed budgets for the team and the rebrand programs. My role included providing timely reporting and status updates to stakeholders across various programs, teams, and regions. I played a pivotal role in creating branding strategies that became brand guidelines for the company.
As part of my role, I managed the hiring process and on-boarding for contractors and agencies, negotiating job descriptions and scope, and establishing efficient ways of collaborating with cross-functional teams. Moreover, I actively supported product, educational, marketing, and creative teams in bringing the Meta branding system to life, offering guidance, sourcing talent, and delivering best practices training.

I collaborated closely with the Latin@ Employee Resource Group (ERG) members, offering guidance and production support for their Latin@ rebranding efforts following the company's rebranding in 2019. Drawing from my experience developing of internal branding guidelines with my team, I actively contributed to the first internal ERG rebranding initiative. The guide was crafted with the intention of assisting the Latin@ community and serving as a model for other ERGs to utilize the company's branding guidelines for establishing their internal identities.
In 2022, when the company underwent another rebranding, transitioning to Meta, many of the internal branding principles remained consistent and unchanged.
In 2019 and then in 2022 with the Meta rebrand, I supported the creation of the company 1st-party and 3rd-party partnership branding guidelines. Part of my duties included managing the agency design discovery phases and the leadership internal reviews.

Brand Training
In 2021 and 2022, I collaborated with a colleague from Company Marketing to develop training materials and assist in managing updates to the brand portal, producing 11 training videos. I played a pivotal role in directing talent and overseeing the stylistic aspects of the videos in collaboration with our agency partners. I provided valuable tips to presenters and effectively resolved production budget limitations.
Brand Templates
In 2022, I provided guidance and support to 887 out of 2,274 tasks after the Meta rebrand, representing 40% of total inbound tasks after the rebrand announcement on October 28.
As part of of the demand for more brand approved resources, I project managed the creation of company-wide templates available for all employees to download and on the Brand Portal. Templates included stationary documents, newsletters, and one-sheeters.
