The BHS Research Program

Courses Offered:

Research 1: Open to all grades

• Presentation about Research 1

Research 2, 3, and 4: Open to grades 10-12 (Pre-requisite class is Research 1). Bethpage's Science Research Program is affiliated with SUNY Albany's Science Research in the High School (UHS) program. Students can earn up to a total of 12 college credits from Junior & Senior year.

AP Capstone Research: Open to grades 11 & 12 (Pre-requisite class is AP Capstone Seminar)

AP Capstone:

Students also have the opportunity to participate in the AP Capstone Program, which consists of the AP Seminar and AP Research courses. AP Research is offered after students successfully complete AP Seminar during their Sophomore year.

• AP Capstone Certificate: Awarded to students who earn a score of 3 or higher on both the AP Seminar & AP Research assessments.

• AP Capstone Diploma: Awarded to students who earn a score of 3 or higher on both the AP Seminar & AP Research and four additional AP exams.
