Bethlehem SEPTA (Special Education PTA) is a parent-led advocacy group serving families in the Bethlehem Central School District. We represent students receiving special education services, working to ensure every child has the support they need to thrive.
Our mission is to unite families, educators, and administrators in championing students with disabilities—so they can reach their full academic, social, and emotional potential.
We believe in the power of community. Through events, resources, and education, we create spaces where families feel empowered to navigate the special education system.
Together, we advocate for equity, inclusion, and meaningful opportunities for every student.
COMMUNITY- Creating Connections, Empowering Families
Our purpose is to create a supportive and inclusive community for families and children with diverse learning needs. We strive to promote a culture of collaboration, respect, and advocacy—ensuring that every child, regardless of ability, is given the opportunity to thrive and reach their fullest potential. Through mutual support and shared purpose, the SEPTA community fosters solidarity, improved academic outcomes, and a sense of belonging.
ADVOCACY- Ensuring Access and Equity
We are a community of families united to champion equitable, inclusive, and high-quality services for all students who receive academic supports. Empowering one another to advocate for systemic improvements including an improved academic continuum, policy reform, equitable funding, and strong partnerships with schools. Our goal is to ensure every child has equal access to a quality education, in an environment that honors their strengths and meets their needs.
