Be the Difference was founded in 2023 by Piper Wyman, a junior high school student at the time with a passion for mental health awareness. Be the Difference unites residents to break the stigma surrounding mental health and promote suicide awareness. Over the past two years, Be the Difference has raised over $25,000, all of which has been donated to the goals of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).

Looking forward, Alex Taddeo has taken on the role of Managing Director for Be the Difference for the year 2025. Together, Alex and Piper are working collaboratively to ensure that the 3rd Annual Be the Difference Walk will be the most successful yet.
